Curious to see where the program goes from here / what CPW generates for a plan. Although I voted against because it's wasted money from my back, I wouldn't mind having the chance to take a wolf at some point down the road now.

Open for casual debate, but can we really compare success of wolf management in a national park to wolf management in high country / open rangeland state-wide?

I hope the greater ecological impact will be realized with appropriate management. The wolves are already down this far, why not give it a chance to be managed with the same success of other species especially as the range cattle declining to lot raised over the recent decades. I think wolves are some of the coolest creatures on the face of the earth. They are the dogs that refused to be domesticated.... That's badass. The impact ecologically in Yellowstone was pretty immense. We need something in that direction instead of the way it all went the last 2 months

I like this. My main counter argument is that Yellowstone is a Park and the re-introduction of wolves to said park was highly managed in a more isolated area. Yellowstone was overgrazed and ecology diminished because species had no competition and/or reason to leave (sound familiar? RMNP anyone?) - and I don't think the success of Yellowstone can be all we base our assumptions on, as Colorado is looking to release them onto "designated lands west of the continental divide". Do I think wolves are going to completely wipe out livestock and big game? Absolutely not, far from actually. Do I think we need to toss money at an already underfunded and understaffed CPW, which openly shot down this topic in 2016, to come up with and execute a management plan? Absolutely not.

I think it could be very successful, but to your point who is managing it? And can CPW successfully manage? And with what extra funds do they get to ensure its done correctly?

I'm not sure there's a way to do it successfully, my family is from Idaho and wolves have ruined Elk hunting up there in several areas.

Did that pass? I never got a straight answer.

I do not understand the logic of it. When is the last time Colorado had wolves? the ice age

No luck getting a bear in my back up area, positive note the Taco made it while pulling the camper and my friends F-150 did not make it lol.

Had a blast in CO hunting muleys. Didn’t harvest anything but learned a ton so it was still a success in my mind. Weather was a problem for sure. Snow helped move deer but the switching between freezing and above freezing made travel tough. First time I’ve ever wanted to use a side by side!
