    Fantastic News!!!

just remember, you’ll hate not having the sway the first week, resist the urge to reinstall. By the end of the second week you’ll be good.

Well, maybe not having driven the truck in over six months won’t make it quite as weird. Lol.

    Guess I’ll find out.

Ripped off all four mudflaps. Scratches all down both sides 6112’s up front on 3rd notch 5100’s in back with Toytech 1” block Skids & sliders from SOS Concepts I got rid of the 1” block and put on Wheelers 1 1/2” progressive AAL. SPC UCA. Be sure your standing on the drivers side when reading the instructions! I swapped sides so many times that I can swap UCA’s in 15 minutes. I put in the 3/4” spacer to eliminate the Taco Lean, and just got my 4th alignment. Traded the OEM rims for 17” Sport rims and a bora bora 1” spacer. I got my Firestone 285/70/17 MT2’s. Pelfreybilt gas tank skid and hi-lift jack should be here Friday. Looking at bumpers, but I think they will wait for next year. So far I’m happy with my build. I’ve done it all myself, leading to a lot of cussing and frustration, but it’s all mine.
Thought I’d be cool and replace my flopping around ujoints in my driveway and broke all the clips holding the cups in,,,,,,
It’s getting towed to the shop.

 You mean the clips that get replaced and come with new u joints?

Were you planning on re-using the old clips?

I wasn’t planning on reusing the old clips,,, a couple broke when I was removing them. The u joints came with new clips and with my luck I’ll tweak the new ones if I try to use them just to get it to the shop.

Depends on who it's for. An offroad type guy/hunter? Sure. Mall crawler/DD? Not so much.

Finally got it leveled out at POR4x4 in alexandria.
Before: 20mm preload both sides. The driver's side sat a full 1.5" lower then the passenger lol.
    After: 30mm driver's 27mm passenger

Gained about an inch up front total and they are now maxed out.
Caster was low, about 3deg... I think I'm still rubbing.. may go back for some more caster next week when my last wheel comes in!

Ahh, well, it’ll likely be early next week before I get them on the truck. I might get the rear two installed this weekend, just so I can put part of the truck back on the ground and torque bolts to spec. But I’ve got some final adjustments to make up front and want to clean up the hubs a bit before I put the wheels on. The lack of center caps is tough on my OCD...

I decided that while my pickup was in the hospital for the u joints I’d have them replace the passenger side half shaft because it was starting to throw grease. They replaced the drivers side which is about a year old.
I found out my rev limiter works, as today when leaving the shop after digging my half shaft out of their dumpster, I hit it for the first time.

It's kind of quiet in here...

Who needs limit straps when you have my rear struts....

Check out how much my axle dropped when I pulled the lower bolt.

    Hello Cincinnati (tri-state) local folks!

Just put a lift on my 4Runner and I'm looking for recommendations on a good place to get an alignment done. Preferably close to the west side of Cincinnati.

Also kinda wondering if I even need to be concerned about it or if I can just take it anywhere that does alignments and they'll get it done fine.

This is the first of my Toyotas that I've lifted so thanks in advance for your suggestions.

    Cheers,
    Brian

@06trdtaco - You may be able to take it most places, depends on the kind of lift you put on. Do you have adjustable UCAs? Some alignment places won't adjust those.

If you plan on off-roading you may want an alignment plan that allows for multiple alignments. I think Firestone does a "Lifetime alignment". I bought a 3 year alignment from Tire Discounters.

I’m also in need of an alignment. I took the whole week off work so the truck will be back on the ground tomorrow or Wednesday.

But I have adjustable upper control arms and will be very picky about the final specs...
