I have a 2001 Toyota Tacoma Xtracab. Today, the car lost all power while in neutral. Popped the hood and noticed that the Mass Air Flow Meter had disconnected from the Air Filter Box (See Photos). I taped over it and sealed the gap and was able to get her to run - although my rpms were low when idle.

It looks like the gasket/whatever adhesive was used to connect the two completely broke and I don't believe I need to do anything other than clean the old adhesive off and reseal it. Can anyone verify this? If not, what else needs to be done.

    All components are without damage/cracks.

    Thanks in advance.

Kinda looks like the airbox is cracked and missing bits.

Ahh, that'd make sense. are there supposed to be threads there that the MAF Meter threads into?

I dunno, I'd have to go look. What engine do you have?

Around $26,000 worth of unleaded in the fuel tank.
I see a big chunk of plastic missing from the airbox, so you should probably replace that. Maybe go to the junkyard and look at an airbox for comparison.
