Oliver the Lunar Mist Ext Cab Build, dual cased and double locked

Went choppy chop to my bed sides, they were starting to tear and the paint was pretty whooped under the bed side protection any way. So also chopped the bumper up as well gaining some more clearance. Not completely done, need to finishes a few things with the bumper and paint.

Also Rago fab bed stiffener where installed:

 

May have to snag some of those stiffners if they do a BF sale

 

Yeah, they are pretty quality and came with the beefy hardware too. They just had a sale for 20% when I got them but it ended. I bet you could leverage the 15% off from All pro and they would match it.

 

List of things I’d like to get done over the next month or two:

• Diff and t case fluid
• Install arb compressor(done)
• Whiteline LCA bushings(done)
• Build a new bed platform
• Build a new dog platform in the cab
• Oil change
• Coolant flush(done)
• Timing belt (done)
• Brake pads (done)

 

Finally knocked out my timing belt kit, thermostat, and accessory belts.

 

Nice! How tough was it?

 

Not bad honestly, took about 4 hours total. I borrowed a puller for the crank pulley and a stubby impact gun to pull the crank bolt and used that to put it back on. Other than that, if you stay organized it’s pretty simple.

 

Finally got my blue sea fuse block set up! Makes the engine bay look so much cleaner and less ready to catch fire!

 

Finished the arb compressor install this weekend as well. Glad to have it installed and ready to use. Threw some 1x6 around it keep things from knocking into it.

 

Lastly for the compressor a permanent switch mount.

 

How you have that bracket mounted? To the lower tie-down bolt?

 

Yeah I just threw a longer bolt it. Kind worked as the perfect spot.

 

Whiteline LCA arm bushing are in and threw in some new brake pads (99.5k miles)

 

I didn’t take a single picture! I just wanted to get it done. I wish I would have video the old bushing fly 5 feet when it popped out lol
