Reboot that cv. Replace your ubj and lbj. I think lbj call for every 75k from the dealer .

I think I got 30k out of mine. It's all going to depend on abuse. Lower ball joints don't last 5k for me. Jack the truck up and grab the upper part of the spindle and shake to feel for play. Using mileage to judge wear on suspension components is kind of a mute point in my opinion.

What’s your preferred resealing method? And how’ve your methods held up over time? I’ve been battling some leaks around the bed rails for a while now, had some successes but nothing extraordinary. At this point I just tell myself its the nature of owning a topper. Also, in advance, thank you to anyone who chimes in with their 2¢

Bought a mounting plate and windshield epoxy on Amazon. Wiring wasn't too bad.

Double bulb seal is gold for sealing canopies. It's also what GFC uses.

Thank you! I’ll be ordering it right away. The rains have hit in Oregon and while I’ve always thought it’d be nice to have a pool... not in the back of my truck. Any reviews on the adhesive backing on this stuff? Can I trust it or should I break out the 3M weatherstripping adhesive while I’m at it?

I have this on my truck. Initially the adhesive looked questionable, but it has held up fine to going on and off the truck once. I do not plan to remove the topper very often so I'm not worried in my case. It has sealed up perfectly against the rain so far.

The old weather strip had some small staples in it at corners and every few feet, so that is an option for you to consider as well.

Edit to add that I put a small bead of silicone at the joints in the bed rails at the front corners. There is a small channel in the metal there that was where I was leaking. Not sure if it was required, but certainly does not hurt. Now 100% dry.

I never had a problem with the adhesive coming off, just clean off the bottom rails of your canopy really well and get any old glue off.

Yes, forgot to mention this. I had to spend a good amount of time with a razor to clean the goop off.

thanks! I appreciate it. My canopy almost never comes off so sounds like I’ll be relatively safe. I’ll have to look into the stapling option as well. I get leery (pardon the pun, it’s actually a snugtop) with the thought of staples accidentally coming into contact with the rails. But I’ll look at it and see what I deem best fit for my application.

Thank you! I’ll be sure to inspect and make sure things come out clean.

I appreciate all of your responses. Will post pics once I get product and install.

yea. I plan to jack up the truck and check for movement with a pry bar. The clunk only happens at low speed going up or off drive ways. And only happened after installing the Kings. But it is due for a change with the miles.

No sway bar. That’s long gone. I just picked up the kings a week ago. They’re used but freshly rebuilt with 0miles from a member on here.
