Ok, so what's the hype with BRCC? I tried some this past weekend and I gotta say not impressed. The price point on their coffee should probably be half of what their charging.

Honestly I think their success has been all about the marketing, cool name, flashy packaging.

    Am I missing something here?

nope, it's all marketing. as over-the-top as they are now, they used to be so much worse (think "real coffee for guys with big dicks and bro-dozers", "it'll put hair on your chest", etc). they seem to have mellowed out to try to attract a broader audience.

in terms of price, it's actually pretty low priced compared to the larger coffee roasters (like intelligentsia, peets, blue bottle).

Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
Their light roast is OK, but...meh. I'm done with them. Wife cancelled the recurring order. Moving on to local stuff to support, well, locals.

It’s great, if sponsoring murderers is your thing.... (I don’t think they actually are but their public statement on the matter was weak as shit)

I had to go look it up but I think your talking about the Kenosha shooter who shot and killed Joseph Rosenbaum the convicted pedophile that was attacking him.

Let’s just ensure we keeps this apolitical and on the topic of the quality and taste of their coffee.

The coffee is decidedly average. Most of their income comes from catering to wanna-be operators that think owning guns is a personality.

What about a MT owner with a pro grill and raptor lights? The trifecta.

What’s not decidedly average is the company’s overriding dedication to veterans and first responders. What’s not decidedly average is when BRCC sent coffee (unsolicited) to my precinct and several other precincts in Western WA, when we were on the lines getting fucked up nightly. In regards to the “sponsoring murderers” post, I will respect the moderators directive and not comment....and will add that I like the taste of their coffee...I put on my Crye pants and PC when I drink it too....OAF.

Yeah, but you got the 1down5up tourer to pull em in and then finish them off with your tales of magnificent travels to far away lands.

The majority of modern day marketing relies on over the top tactics, flashy packaging, cool logos, and a very specific target audience the marketing wants to appeal to.

In this case, these guys target Veterans and current service members who are delusional about what their actual job is and more often than not inflate their job description to make themselves sound more badass than they actually are to the ignorant everyday person. Feeling like they are drinking coffee which was brewed with water from the fountain of god himself, this further empowers their big ego and sometimes even makes them think the product tastes better than it actually does. Market hype is an excellent placebo in pushing a subpar product.

I only speak the above from witnessed experience and even know a few folks who act this way, but hey, I guess everyone needs some sort of hobby right?

It's hard to find a brand this day and age that is just as quality as it's looks. There are so many gimmicks out there, and the moment I heard about this one I placed it into the "gimmick" section as well.

All this being said, I do have to take a second to point out that it's great to see that they look out for their first and emergency responders, yes that includes service members as well.

Now that sounds like a real man's vehicle right there. After all, they have a "man" pedal mounted to the left of their go pedal. ;)o_O
