Truck looks amazing, but heavy lol. How does it move with 5.29s? Do you feel the need to boost it?

Low ends speeds up to 50mph aren't bad but once you start really moving you can feel it needs more power but its doable. Any incline more than 10* you need to down shift to 3rd but has plenty of torque then to get up whatever you need. 4wd off road I can just idle over stuff in 4lo.'

I thought about a SC but im not going to because they can cause all kinds of engine issues from what ive seen on TW

Im running 265/70-17 Falken Wildpeak on my Double cab Prerunner and its dog on the highway. They look great and runs great around town but thats it. Its embarrassing when an 18 wheeler pulls over on a slight incline to let me pass and i cant get pass him before the passing lane ends.

    I also have a 2012 four-door 2.7cyl Prerunner.

After doing some research, it seems that I will be going for Toyo Open Country A/T III. They seem to be one of the lightest but nicely looking A/T tires (36-37 lbs). Even though I like the more aggressive ones like the KO2 (50lbs), Wildpeak or the Grabber ATX, I don't want to sacrifice so much speed on the Highway; Since I do most of my driving on that type of road.

I am stuck on whether to get 245/75/16 (36lbs)
    With TRD Off-Road Wheel - 3rd Gen
    Part# 42611-04160
    Dimensions: 16x7 +25
    Weight 23lbs
    or

    go for 255/70/17 (37 lbs)
with 4Runner TRD Sema Pro - Matte Black
    Part# PTR20-35110-BK
    Dimensions: 17x7 +04
    Weight: 25 lbs

Any recommendations? Is anyone else running the Toyos? Or these sizes?

You could be like @jowybyo and convert it haha. Doesn’t seem too hard Or expensive on these trucks, and I believe @Brian422 is manual swapped as well? Or maybe just 4wd swapped

I wouldn’t say it’s easy, but it’s not that hard either. After selling my transmission it’s cost me under $1500. I still have a few more things to sell that will hopefully bring the final cost down to ~$1200

Its nearly paid off so ill prob just go to an F150 since my son is getting bigger and ive inherited two teenage girls with the new girlfriend. We need more room. As much as ive loved my taco im wanting something bigger and more power.
