    Hi, I have a 2017 4x4 tacoma.
My truck is fully stock with no mods. Lately I’ve been hearing a tacking sound when going over bumps. Almost like a metal to metal sound. I’ve took it to the dealership twice and they say everything is ok. I’m wondering if anyone else has dealt with this issue. And if so what was the problem. Thanks in advance. Aloha

Front or rear? If rear could just be the clips on rear springs when the spring pack flexes.

It’s coming from the front passenger side. I’m not sure what it could be, I’m no mechanic but when I look underneath nothing looks out of place or worn. Thank u for your reply. Any info is appreciated. Aloha

Check the front skid plate. When I had my lift put on they over tightened the four bolts and I had a metallic sound every time I turned left.

I loosened and properly torqued the four bolts and no more noises.
