Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
Black steel bolt replacements. However, many people are painting and baking in oven for a little harder finish. I didnt think of that.

Where did you find those bolts and how are they holding up?

    Belmetric was the site.

Sadly, the yellow zinc coating they use is not very weather resistant, so they're just a shade of grey now. In hindsight, you'd be better off just spray painting the bolts whatever color you desire.

I know you didn't ask me, but based on this in the description from Mcmaster "Black-phosphate steel screws are mildly corrosion resistant in dry environments." I don't have much faith in the answer being positive.

As @mynameismudflap predicted, not very positive. A few has minor surface rust. I ended up removing them. I painted the stock SCS bolts gunmetal and reinstalled those being they're stainless steel.

I could not decide wether to buy black bolts or just paint them myself. I ultimately decided to paint them myself. Below I have listed everything I did and have pictures of what I used. This process in total took me about 3 hours.
    1. Remove bolts
    2. Clean bolts with Acetone
    3. Insert bolts into a cardboard box
    4. Spray paint 3 coats (12 min between each in the sun and 2 hours in the sun after the last coat)
    5. Take bolts out and lay them on their side to make it easier to Loctite them (let sit for 30 min)
    6. Re-insert the bolts into the wheel (I tried using a socket wrench but the paint would come off when taking the socket off the bolt due to the increase in thickness on the bolt head, so I ended up just using my fingers to tighten everything down)(The bolts when removing were not tight at all from the factory so I am assuming finger tight is good enough)
    7. This step is definitely not needed but if you have OCD like me you can spray some paint on a piece of cardboard and use a tiny painters brush to go around and paint any little chips of paint that may have happened during the install process.
    8. Enjoy your new blacked out faux bead ring!!IMG_9932.jpg 66604408812__346D7A92-89C1-4F63-82D2-CEDD5DEE2B92.HEIC.jpg IMG_9931.jpgIMG_9930.jpg

    UPDATE***

Do not finger tighten them they will fall out I have already lost two. I tightened them all down with a socket wrench and ended up stripping all the paint even after it was cured for 3 days.

I went ahead and ordered some black phosphate bolts instead.

I just used rattle can. Use a a satin finish ( that’s what they told me) works and matches perfectly) also works if you want to touch up the outer ring.

Sorry to bump an old thread, wasnt able to find an answer via search.

For those that used nylon screws instead of paint, do you suggest any sort of bonder to make sure they don't vibrate off? Seems like simple locticte wont work as it might crack the screw
