She came up with the idea that we get each other experiences for our birthdays instead of things. That has become a major theme in our lives.

Porsche though, what incredible build quality. That 15 year old convertible had 0 rattles or squeaks. It was really a pleasure to drive, but not because it was fast. As you know, they aren't that powerful, but man is that chassis sorted out. Guys at work were all "how fast did you go, over 100??. Did you let it loose on the highway??" They don't get it. Taking that thing through a corner was like magic.

I'd be fine with all that if not for road salt.

2001 Accord with just over 89,000 miles. I inherited it from a family member who passed a few years ago. 20 year old paint is showing its' age and has 20 years worth of dings & scrapes, but that's what makes it a beater. Mechanically it's excellent, though. Regularly serviced and well maintained; it runs like a top.

Excellent! You are a lucky guy. I have learned a lot about Honda's lately, apparently it's very important to use Honda brand fluids with them.
