I have my ST Maxx in stock size on 16s and they still pull to the right. Anyone else. I have 43k miles on them and have about half of the tread depth left

Mine have, and still, pulled to the right since I got them. I have 25k miles on them and have had 2x alignments with no success. It sucks because I love everything about these tires, but that one thing is pretty annoying. When the time comes, I'll probably still re-order the same set though and just hope it's resolved. The pros outweigh the cons to me.

Check your tire pressure, you might be low on the side that’s pulling, and rotate them. Some people have the toe set a little bit to offset the pull if they have any. I’ve had these tires on 2 different vehicles, didn’t really have any pulling

Put 35's on my 96 Land Cruiser. Awesome on the rocks. But my Duratracks were better in the snow. Truck is 5800 lbs, tire pressures at 45

Those look like ST PRO's to my eye. Not MAXX?

Definitely not S/T Maxx. They have a distinct double V then 2 block center tread pattern.

:D Things could always be worse. No sweat, and they still look bad ass. Curious though, why did you switch from the Duratracs?

I started doing level 3/4 difficulty trails at the offroad park I go to and needed more grip on the sidewalls. The DT's were okay but just too soft for off camber grabbing. I bring these down to 18psi on the trails and are amazing.

Ahh, were the Duratracs E rated?

Just curious. I had Duratracs on a Tundra, and a 4Runner and they didn't last very long. I went with Ridge Grapplers on my first Tacoma. They were nice. I think the S/T Maxx are the next best thing to sliced bread.

Mine wore quick as well since the LC is a heavy truck. I don't put lots of miles on the truck anyway since it's not a DD. The blockiness of the Pro's are too aggressive for everyday. The Maxx look more streetable.

These things are great on the beach sands. We ran the full length of Egret Island (about 18 miles one way) last weekend and at no point was I concerned about traction. Didn't even bother airing down.

I got my Maxx's installed tonight. 255/80-17's on 4r pro wheels. No rubbing, no vibes. Nice and smooth. I'll get a pic tomorrow.

    255/80-17 ST Maxx
Second gen pro suspension. HD Dakar.
    PSI @35 to start.
    4runner pro Sema's.
Front has probably about 2" of lift with about 3" in rear unloaded. Hooked to a trailer or loaded it levels out.
    Stock gearing A/T.
    Not tuned.

No rubbing anywhere at any articulation. I did remove my flaps as they rubbed on the 265's. I almost think they'd fit with the 255's and if I get bored I will try it and find out.

I towed about 225Mi. and got about the lowest MPG I have ever gotten, 11.2, but not the lowest. I used to get somewhere between 11 MPg and 12.5 towing same setup on old tires. S4 typically with the the occasional S5 thrown in when applicable. S4 now reads within a few RPM of where S5 was on my 265/70-17 wildpeaks. Truck will hit S3 on hills now where it typically didn't before, that sucks, but it shifts back to S4 fairly easily.

MPG around town I do not know yet as I haven't driven enough to check, but I think it will be close to the 265's, within an MPG or so based on my experience towing.

I did not notice any difference in towing feel between the E's and SL tires at the weight I pulled.

Notice a slight weight penalty on take off, but nothing to cry about, turbo lag like would be the best way to describe it as when it hits 3500 RPM the shift is very apparent. I drive fairly conservatively.

Going from an SL to an E is sort of a mixed bag, some bumps are more muted, while hard jars are more amplified. Not a big deal, but hard to explain how they can be softer and harder at the same time.

You do have to drive the truck now as it seems to want to do it's own thing if you let it, the 265's were more carlike for sure. I have not chalked the tires, so my PSI may need adjusted still to help with this. The much taller tread of the Maxx's undoubtedly contribute to this as well though. The Maxx's do throw rocks, which is to be expected.

Here's the truck on 265's for comparison,
