I would be super interested in an integrated deck for aux power mounting. I saw there was some interest there in the first GB set.

 

Since y’all a non biased group of car people I have a question for you guys. Is Methanol bad for long term use? And do you guys know if it has a shelf life?

 

Hopefully it all works out. I was mainly asking as I thought it was the 3rd gen Tacoma that folks used not the 4Runner set.

There are quite a few guys who have been boosting with methanol for a decent amount of miles with no issues. There's a 1st gen boosted taco in the forums who has a couple 100K miles boosted and over 40K with methanol. As long as you are tuned safely for it and dont have too high of a concentration of methanol, the benefits far outweigh any minor longterm issues IMO, including keeping your top end cleaner. I think the only long term concern (assuming your tuning is safe) is how certain stronger mixtures may wear the inner coating on the rotors, but so far it seems to not be an issue for many. Even it was a longterm issue, you can have the rotors recoated when its time for scheduled blower maintenance or a rebuild. There will be a bit more routine maintenance cleaning nozzles and keeping the system leak free.

Ah okay i was thinking of going methanol in my other car but wanted a different opinion on it. I’d be buying the premixed boost juice if I went that route but I don’t know if having to use it would get annoying

 

I've got a couple gallon snow tank that is just way too big for the taco if you're thinking of putting it in bigger truck, or a car that you dont care about trunk space in.

The plastic reservoir is the issue, not the hoses.

 

This was kind of a b-%*h. Is the APR water outlet still available? Or did APR purchase it from another manufacturer?

I got rid of the cradles and the post that holds the thermo.

@Torspd @nudavinci64 I didn't read the instructions until after I had it apart. You're required to cut it to fit the URD thermo and adapter. Theres no way I was leaving it looked hacked. Got it close enough with the dremel and hand sanded the details. I even cut the collar that holds the thermo inside so no stupid obstructions. I'm sure the APR one probably just fits up but I didn't see they're available.
