Overall it was not hard but a couple of things to note. the nutserts tool for installation is crap! I know it’s only for doing 8 nutserts but after 2 the cheap bolt was stripped. Guys it’s a great rack- it will not kill your margin to put a higher grade bolt in the install kit. The drill bit is cheap too. Again- upgrade to a titanium bit or don’t supply at all. The bit is garbage and wears out after two holes.
The instructions for drilling holes are vague at best. I ran into two cross braces EXACTLY where the holes go. Would be nice to know that prior to drilling. I had no issues with airbags or wires and I didn’t drop the head liner .
Lastly the rack doesn’t align exactly and I had to really stretch the sides out to fit Into the rain gutter channels on the front and yes I put the brackets on the right side as per instructions.
Now that said. It helps the rigidity of the rack with a super tight fit.
Overall I love the rack. I added 2 part epoxy to the nutserts when installing and took my time with replacing the trim. I also think I have a better solution for the light bar cable and ran it without drilling holes in the windshield trim. If you take your time you can squeeze it into the trim on the outside vs. inside .
