    I have a 2010 taco sport
Lots of switches LEFT of the steering wheel (like fog lights)
Do a lot of night driving, and surprised the panel nor the switches have lights
OR is there a light burned out?

a little help please before I go looking for a burned out light bulb that isn’t there....

Some of the switches are backlit, some aren’t. I know for a fact the fog light switch is and it does have a replaceable bulb in it. The others, I’m not certain which are and aren’t backlit.

So, I would find some way to pop out the fog light switch and I should find a bulb?

They pop out super easily most of the time, but some are easier than others. You can get a screwdriver or little plastic pry bar in there. You can also pull the fuse access panel below and try to push the switch out from the backside - this is easier for the lower row, the upper row is harder to access from underneath but you can do it if your arms/hands are too fat.

This reminds me that I need to replace one or two of my LED's as well.

I also just had these same questions. The fog light switch lights up but there is no indication that the fog lights are on. The mirror switch does not light up.
    Weird how toyota does things...
In Caribe's pic above, the black tab to remove the switch from the dash is to the right of the bulb (brown circle). If you have a black empty"plug" next to the fog switch, it may be easier to remove that, then reach in the hole to release the fog light switch. That is, If you have long skinny fingers! Good luck.

In looking at the pic of the fog light it appears it can accept a second bulb. I'm wondering if this is true and if a second bulb was installed, would the switch illumination get brighter when it was in the ON position?....

Nope, there are no pins for the copper trace.

But if you get an OEM switch with dash AND indicator light, you could swap the face and re-pin the connector.
You could also get a machine shop to duplicate the holes needed by using the face of the switch you have selected.

On eBay you can find the fog switch with the on/off light but you have to re wire (more than I want to do)

ok, so bulb replacement T4, T4.2 (like AC panel) or T3.....to get LED

Terrific link, thanks, worked great, just a tight fit.
Replaced (3) Fog light, RSC (airbag) switch, Stability Switch
Toyota dealer wants $9.10 per, VS $1.75 per + S/H.
