I'm on the fence about ordering this.... Has everyone on here had success with they're 2020 off roads with it? I keep seeing horror stories but there seems to have been a fix in some update. Really don't feel like wasting $120

I’ve not had any issues with my 2020 TRD OR supporting my or my lady’s iPhones. I cannot remember the last time either of the devices needed to be hard wired.

Horror stories like clowns with meat cleavers randomly appearing in the back seat? That’s only happened twice and they were actually quite cordial.

Mine works very well. Occasionally the skip forward or back buttons on the steering wheel don’t work but restarting the head unit solves it. Usually happens if I put the truck in reverse before its fully connected to my iPhone.

Zero issues on my ‘20 Sport with an IPhone X. I did perform the device software update when I initially installed the adapter.

How would these hold up in southern summers? Electronics usually don’t fair too well in the heat and I’d be curious to know that answer before dropping $100+ on a device...

Man this sounds like a great product but is it worth The $100+ just to have wireless android auto which should of been standard with 2020s?

Glad it works out for you all though.

A lot of 3rd Party options for Tacoma's are so expensive I'm learning.

I ordered this product about 5 months ago and I have still never received it they said that it got lost in transit and that they are not responsible i have tried to get a refund but they just keep telling me that it is in transit and they can not confirm that it has been lost their for they can't give me a refund. this company is very unprofessional order this product at your own risk.

Sounds like it is time for a charge-back. Hopefully you are still in the window to be able to do that with your credit card company.

yeah I am currently in the process of dealing with that. you would think after six months and the product doesn't show up the customer would try and do the right thing.

Any pictures or how-to on getting the hiding the whole device that way? Seems like a no-brainier if its not too involved.

false, it is a bluetooth initiated wifi connection

bluetooth is only used for establishing a wifi connection, then bluetooth disconnects once wifi is connected.

I don't see anywhere on the website for this device providing wireless Android Auto. It only talks about iPhones and CarPlay.

This is great. A good solution that, sadly, Toyota could have implemented in the 2021.
Too bad the USB inside the center console doesn’t connect to CarPlay. That would solve the issue of it looking bad.

    Unusual design choice.
