Do the louvers vent directly into the engine bay or into the interstitial space inside the hood?

We can certainly supply weaker struts to account for the reduced weight. I'd want to have a closer look at the hood reinforcement details - if the material is too thin or brittle, rivets with backup washers (or rivnut type fasteners) may be better suited than blind rivets.

Ran without hood pins for a little over a month and didn’t have any issues but decided to play it safe and install the hood pins.

Some are wrapping the lower half/contour of the tailgate, but I've not seen a fully wrapped tailgate (excluding a fully wrapped truck).

How you guys enjoying your hoods?

    pros and cons?

In the market now to finally pick one up.

Just debating on going with the original seibon one or getting the new style with added vents.

I get a lot of compliments on the hood , for me it was just cosmetic but still worth it, it is lighter than oem but obviously not really gonna make a difference :militarypress: cons , I do see it ripple at highway speeds and sometimes scares me its gonna pop open but there are hood pins I just can't get myself to drill into the hood yet ! Overall if get it again.

I'm happy with it. The biggest con is price. Are there any pros to it? You could consider aesthetics and some reduction in weight as pros, but not in performance. As with any mod, it will come down to personal preference. I installed pins and would not advise installing it without them.

Everything, except the ones I haven't done yet ;)
Is the ram air functional like the RK Sport hood? That would seal the deal for me.

These hoods seem very tempting. All your pictures are great. However, the necessity for hood pins is real and you would think the manufacture would make them pre-installed especially since they recommend them. I have some questions. Does water leak into the engine compartment through these vents? Does the hood vibrate at high speeds on the highway? Thanks.

My C7 Corvette came with a carbon-fiber hood for weight savings which is substantial, however almost too light for me as it makes me feel as though I'm going to break it every time I raise or lower the hood.
