Got hit in a casino parking lot. Taco was parked, they announced on overhead speaker. Security got the lady who did it. Its all on camera. Filed with insurance tonight. What would be the estimated cost to fix the truck? Its a 2019, with a custom grill and custom light work that i spent a lot of time installing into the grill. The front bumper, under black bumper, headlights, hood had small scruff from grill being pushed up, fog lights need replacing. My car must have slid over half a foot also judging by how close it was to the yellow pole. Any idea on Cost? Replacement ideas? How does that work? Can I get an offroad bumper?

Welcome to TW. You will now be getting responses somewhere in the range of " That shit will buff out" OR (not off-road) "That shit is totaled, sorry for your loss"
All in jest but, honestly people suck and good luck OP. Insurance is going to be interesting with mods being subjective at best. I would suspect your getting a check for original specs only.

Because he is not at fault I do not expect the other insurance company to make it stock again, they will need to make him whole again, which would mean they are going tk replace the aftermarket parts.

Yeah they’ll fix what you have. I’d go ahead and get a better bumper. The bumpers on these trucks are worth $75. Finding a nicer bumper ready to go might be a challenge though.

To start this wonderful year I had a minor frontend hit, which is almost exactly like yours.

I took the insurance money to purchase this Stealcraft bumper. https://steelcraftautomotive.com/i-30498525-steelcraft-71-13420-fortis-front-bumper-textured-black.html#!year=2017||make=TOYOTA||model=TACOMA

I like the bumber allot, rarely seen on TW and with your trucks color will contrast nicely. I did the install without issue, only had to straighten out one horizontal bracket but pretty easy install. However this lead too new all around suspension/lift, bigger tires and now looking at rear bumpers........

And so it begins if you choose. :)[/QUOTE]

Welcome to TW, and people suck. Assuming the lady has insurance, they will repair back to how you had the truck prior to collision. Wouldn't worry about the mods.

BTW, the insurance company won't care about the "time" you spent modding the grille. However, they will need to pay the shop rates require to replace it. I see some arguments and negotiations in your future. Sorry, bud.

04 Acura, not sure on model. I'm pretty sure she hit it pretty hard, my car was pushed over 1/2 a foot. I looked at it this morning, underneath and under the hood. Need a new L headlight, and front end. Mostly cosmetic. The aluminum crash bar is intact, not bent. Just on the impact side the aluminum, it was bent minorly 1/2 an inch.

Just wondering about similar circumstances, options, as to whether I have to go back to stock or not.... things like that.

Yeah, it kinda was, they got her. Security got her, took photos, police came. I have the hotel liaisons number if needed. The police officer even gave me his info as she admitted on his body cam that she did it. I think its solid. I called her insurance last night. I was just wondering what kind of check they'd cut me and if anyone has had something similar. Idk, just wondering what it might look like. Also my aftermarket mods. She has State Farm. At least it wasnt some crap insurance company

Find/make a good relationship with a body shop, be up front with what you want to do such as getting an aftermarket front bumper vs oem bumper plus paint. See if they’re willing to work with you. Most of the time, shops would be happy to oblige as long as they’re making money too.
