Yeah, I spray it down with water, spray some blue dawn mixed with water on and then I spray it off real good. I just cleaned it up when I changed the spark plugs.

Na, I like to spray it down when the motor is cool. Just don't blast it right on the electronic connections. It probably cleans a little better with the motor warm but I just don't like spraying cold water on a hot motor.

I like to use a pump sprayer and let it work in. Then I pressure wash the grime off. Follow up with some compressed air to clear excess water.

I use simplegreen full strength in a spray bottle, spray, use a bottle brush on heavily greasy areas and spray with clean water

Once it's reasonably clean, spray down the entire engine bay with tire foam. Lots of internet pics of this. Just be sure it's a foam and not the clear type tire dressing.

Super Clean has always worked well for me. I prefer the aerosol over the liquid spray.

Use caution with a pressure washer or air compressor to dry the motor.

These machines can force water into places which could make trouble, like corrosion in electric connectors, electronics.......

I use Purple Power degreaser in the engine compartment and rinse with a pressure washer. Just be careful where you point the tip to the wand so you don't get water into things that need to stay dry.
