Today I picked up the shocks from King. Now I just need the front crossmember from Fabtech and I can finish this mod and move on to the 3 link rear. King designed the shock so the first 2 inches will be plush then changed the valving. It should ride allot nicer . DDB34F6C-38CB-46A0-92EF-0C48589D9467.jpg

This was a challenge but the 1450 psi pump is mounted. Howe is in ! haven’t scene anybody tackle this mod. I’ll do a write up on how to get this all together next week. As the guy who told me it could be done but shared no info on the parts needed or any details or pictures. B2CB3056-964B-4011-AFCB-7C641F2FD21A.jpg

The build is moving along. the Clearance is awesome now. I’ve got all the parts to finish from Fabtech and I’m going to stay home for a few days and finish up the front. This thing is a monster now. Woo hoo 1FAF8B0B-5F7B-46A1-A3BC-EC351DF1D02E.jpg

Got my stock muffler off and the Borla muffler moved back for the 3 link to fit. The new muffler is so quiet it’s almost as quiet at the stock muffler. Got the first part of my top link installed. Tomorrow I’ll finish the rest of the top A-arm. B1C6F3CF-1F5A-41DA-BA02-E91DDAABDF8C.jpg92C50ACA-AF97-4037-BE7D-D411D8A8CA05.jpg

Inside the frame rail does not work. And my goal is to not take any bed space.. So I’m ordering some 10” shocks to mount on the control arm in front of the tire..I think I can use my 10 Triple Bypass behind that..learning curve.64D7CA51-7D27-4A5C-9767-F12B8BFA9DE4.jpg 7ECE88F7-CA0F-4D02-BD54-2C2F068FF4E2.jpg

Nice build. I've always been a fan of Ivan. I have seen you driving on the street but didn't realize how much work you have put into it.

I haven’t been happy with anything I’ve done in the rear so far. I think I’m headed in the right direction now. This is my third set of arms lol. And I like the shock mount under the fender wells so in using 0 bed space. I did have some advice given by the true crawling thread. The wabble stoppers only come in 3/4 so I made a sleeve fo my 5/8 set up. 42” eye to eye.

Almost ready to get my bed back on. Add new brake lines , install the bump stops and add the limit straps. I’m happy with set up, 16” of travel 307370CD-1D12-43E1-A77E-6C337AB380FD.jpg2BB48589-4C57-4070-B11B-F833D72E322E.jpg

Ha ha ....thank you for your input! Yes there is some angle on the shocks. But I’m not going to run fast enough and hard enough to worry about heat build up. There tuned and sprung to run the angle. No Bypass because I want it stealth under the fender flares... using no bed space. Not moving the gas tank. I want all the benefits of the 3 link and the super plush ride. The goal of my project is packaging... I have no idea why I bought the 16”foxes. What a learning experience this has been! The 10” work perfect tucked in there. No bind ... going to truss the rear axle tomorrow and add the hyd bumps and limit straps. Than I’m going to put her on the Trailor and put her through the paces. I think that is super cool of you to invite the crew over and show people how to build stuff using your tools.

And boy have I grown these last few months. If it wasn’t for the true crawling thread I’d be so screwed. I have removed all the mounts so many times I cant remember, bought enough parts to build 3 trucks lol .. but in the end I’m happy with how it turned out. The hoops are supported by a back brace and that is the only part of the bed I will have to notch. I can see light at the end of the tunnel. I have a farm in Platville and a home in Greeley. I’ll come see your shop in the spring. I leave CO when the first snowflake falls. Spend most of my time at my other home in SoCal. But ya I’m excited to see if this can take a berm at speed and not fall apart. Cuz it won’t happed crawling or going to work or puttin down the 60fwy in traffic. I have lots of other cars and trucks... but my daily driver is this Tacoma. My Jeep friends go out every weekend and they treat my truck with no mercy. I’ll have some good picks this weekend of Ivanzilla... lol

I had these lines so I ran them. Today was a good drive 50 miles around town.felt good to fill up the tank after 3 months on the side of the house. Took the hard gas lines and turned them into soft lines too. Check out the hose clamp around the hose that keeps the gas filler in the perfect spot. That is so redneck but it doesn’t vibrate and it works well. I still need to set my preload in the rear tomorrow as the truck has settled in.
