Hi everyone, I was searching through posts and I didn't see anything but I was wondering if anyone else with the new tacomas have developed pedal knee pain? I've had two cars previously and never had this issue. I've adjusted my seats a few times and nothing seems to be relieving it. I was wondering if someone else had this issue and was able to do something to resolve it, thanks.

I get that pain no matter what I’m driving. I guess that’s what happens at the ripe old age of 22

Just when I start to think that every Tacoma complaint possible has been posted on this forum, another one always appears. ;)
Might want to search a medical forum as opposed to the Tacoma forum.

Actually, I am a doctor so I don't think I need to do that haha. Also, please don't get me wrong, I love the truck, I'm just trying to figure out how to relieve my knee.

OP pretty common complaint along with hamstring. Its the lack of support from the seats.

Try folding over a shirt and place it under your leg you have issues with. If this helps or alleviates it all together you found your issue. Ive been crushing cruise control from an injury im getting over and it helps

Thanks, I'll give it a try. So would the seat risers do the same thing too?

Well damn, I'm an engineer so I will take a shot at giving a MD medical advice...

Sir, please change the angle of your knee during normal vehicle operation. You can accomplish this by adjusting the seat distance from pedal, seat height or, as a radical procedure, extending your right leg by breaking it and stretching it using halos ove a 10 month period.

You are welcome. I do not honor your insurance so just send me a crisp twenty dollar bill.

    Next!

I got the front seat jackers from Desert Does It, beautifully made and absolutely worth the coin.

It felt like all the weight was just on my butt and heels, my legs would get restless and achy after about an hour and I would be shifting around constantly. There just wasn't enough (any) thigh support coupled with the fact that the seat cushion is fairly short as well.

Note: Some folks raise the rear of the seat, that seems like it would make the problem much worse for me.

Welcome to the forum, lots of folks here are always glad to help you. (spend your money):spending:

My short ass self uses this seat cushion and it's great. It may look like it's for an 85 year grandmother with hemorrhoids, but I once drove from NY to Colorado, only stopping for gas and coffee on this bad boy. Definitely helps the knees, and you see alot less hood if you're vertically challenged.

To be fair, human factors and ergonomics is an engineering specialization, not medical. On the other hand, orthopedists.

Recommendation: evaluate the Tacoma from an ergonomic perspective giving consideration to the consumer's specific measurements. Refer to orthopedist if pain continues.
