I need to get my 10k service done. The dealer wants to charge me $60+ just to R&R my skid plate. We haven't even got to the aftermarket wheel lugs yet. I believe the 10k service should be around $200. from the dealer? Is that right? So before I let the dealership take me for a ride is there anyone else in the bay you trust with your taco? Thanks.

You could remove the skid plate yourself, save the $60+.

If you are able, do the 10K yourself. Just dig in the Owner's Manual to determine what work is needed. Its likely simple work.

For my service needs. It depends on what work needs to be done. I try to do most of the work myself, but I will take it to the dealer for work beyond my skill or confidence.

I take the service right into my garage :)

I like Auto Innovations (Milpitas) for the more complicated jobs or ones that I don't have the proper tools for.
