For now, propane and propane accessories.....about 60,000 BTU worth. It's expensive, but it works until I get this wood stove installed lol

I had one of those in Chicago area and it would almost dry off top of vehicles overnight After it snowed. Not enough BTU to be comfortable. If you would not open overhead door for couple days maybe.

I have several that are not that brand/model, but look very similar. One quit working in a year or two, but it was just the switch that failed failed. The heating element was still fine. So I wired around the switch and plug it in when I want it on. Radiant heat like this is great if you work in a small area of a large garage. Even if it never warms up the air temp throughout the room, it will warm up everything it's aimed at, including you. I have one immediately over my lathe.

I got a great deal on mine. It was coming into spring and Home Depot had a huge pile of them on clearance. I watched for a few days and the price came down some, and the pile shrank. When they got down to 4-5 of them, I found the manager and offered to take the rest of them if he'd give me an additional discount. I forget what the price was, but I paid under half the original price. I gave a couple away as gifts, but now wish I kept them all.

It burns waste oil. gets up to 1k surface temp.
I will give details on the build in a couple days.

    The basics are:
heat the metal so that the oil "evaporates"
gravity drip feed oil into the burn chamber
add air to get a good Air fuel ratio
    burn the vapors.

Right now it burns a liter every 20 minutes.

In this one it is just oil in the bottom. no drip feed at this point.
