If you are curious on the output intensity measurements of the selective yellow 360s vs the selective yellow Bajas you can see below.

At very least the standards for intensity levels should be freely available. You can look at 49cfr571.108 for intensity tables for headlamps, turn signals, brake lights, etc. But you're left to guess what maximum intensity is legal for auxiliary highbeams and fogs.

    Crashburn80,
Any review of the SSC2 yet? Especially interested in the combo lens in yellow (3K) with the option to run a clear lens for 4K white output down the road, haven't decided on Sport or Pro yet. Primary use - National Forest roads/trails, set up as ditch lights (I know it the fog thread, but......).
Thanks for all the work you've done! I just put in my second set of Phillips H9s (lasted a bit over a year before starting to fade) and still can't get over the improvements. Reverse lights (Phillips gy6.35) are also much appreciated.

I don't think so. But I got those for my ditch lights. I think they will be great.

Last I heard some of the SSC2s were on backorder, still waiting to try those out. The Pros should do a notably better job in the flood optic (part of the combo optic) than the sports, since in a flood pattern greater output is far more effective than greater focus (sports).

At the entry level price point, yes. Great performance for the price. If you are willing to swing a little more for the SS3 Sports though, they are higher in output intensity and available in selective yellow, which is far more ideal for poor weather use. Diode Dynamics has been offering holiday sales as well.

The latest batch of SSC2 components (I believe it was the housings) that came in weren't up to DD's production standards I heard, and from what I understand they scrapped the lot. That's what has been driving the mad delay on them here for a bit. Waiting on bits, and then we should all be able to get right-sided.

    :fingerscrossed:

I think most would agree that a delay is preferred to sub-standard parts. Way to go DD in maintaining their quality standards even when a production delay during a busy time is a tough spot to be in right now.

You seriously just snagged the right combo at the right time. I mean, we did have to call one audible on your latest order.

Yeah, delays on them pretty good unfortunately. I have a stocking order from September that's not filled yet... :frusty: I'm deep enough in the backlog now though that I'm pretty sure I will have stock before anyone else :cookiemonster:

Dang, I thought I had finally made my mind up about going with the OEM and could pull the trigger.
Now I am back scratching my head trying to decide if I want the yellow SS3 for $170 on Amazon or if I just get the white OEM for $130.

Both do seem like great entry fog lights to easily replace the LAME halogens.
    Thanks again for the info!

If you want some advice from somebody who's been there and done that, go for the SS3's and never look back!

Hit up @memario1214 and he might be able to beat Amazon's price on those SS3s

I have sports in selective yellow. I think it’s the best value proposition on the market. And an easy lens swap to 4000k if selective yellow isn’t the look you want.

Anyone with SS3 Sports do you get flashed by other drivers? I want to be legal and not upset other drivers.
I'm hoping to use on the way to work when it's dark.

    Planning on using amber color.

*selective yellow (we're sticklers for semantics in here). Yes all of the Diode SS3 fog lights are road legal with defined cutoffs. Aim them correctly and you will not bother oncoming traffic.
