Been dealing with another blown drivers side LCA. Napa ones dont last too long.. still better than Autozone, and cheaper than OEM.. but damn. At this point.. I'm at the cost of Fab'd LCAs... so... gonna warranty this last one, and pick some up during the black friday sales. Thinking some DK's. Delrin bushings plus a serviceable BJ.

Have done some misc maintenance and mods to it over the last few months. Oil change. Fridge install. Replaced the fairing on the Prinsu and ditched the roof LED bar. Fixed some stereo issues I was having. Nothing fun nor exciting. I do have some stuff I need to do still after the LCA gets sorted. Inner tierod boot needs to be replaced. New, smaller 2.5 pulley needs to go on the Blower. Baja 30" needs to go in the bumper. Rear chase bar needs a tube made up for it and then mounted and wired up. some other shiz.

 

Dirt King Performance LCAs ordered!

 

LCAs are expected to be completed by 1/14/21.

Ha! I wish man. Still a long ways off from some of these guys' rigs. Appreciate it tho. I just want my shit to stop breaking when I wheel... Lol

 

Got out and did some exploring and camping over the new years weekend with the wife and @prise. 111 miles of off-road trails took us from Cave Creek, to just north of Cordes Junction. Night 1 was at the Verde River (sheep's bridge) and night 2 was a random spot we found along the Ridgeline (only spot we could find as it was night time and the trail was tight, cutting over Ridgeline to Ridgeline.. and getting rougher. Overall.. a great trip per usual.. and got to test some new gear/setup's. Had some decent wheeling too. Some sections required spotting, stacking rocks, etc. Excited for this year and to get out as much as we can.

 

Lowers came in.. ordered all new OEM inner/outer tierods.. and will be rebuilding the front end for hopefully the last time for a while once everything comes in. BBK next.. then plan for 35's and trimming fenders and flares. maybe new wheels too.. hmmm..

 

New Toyota inner and outer tie rods and DK LCA's. Alignment hopefully tomorrow. Might order 35s this week..

 

Got the truck back from Alignment. Man what a difference with the Dirt King Lowers. Night and day honestly.. much more solid and smooth feeling. I can tell the King's are actually working and all the shock is transferred through the coilovers instead of all the weak points/bushings.

Excited to wheel out at KOH this weekend.

 

Thinking the Cooper Evolution MTs for my jump to Dirty5's.. probably order them when we get back.. may also splurge and order new wheels.. beadlocks.. or wait on those and do the Wilwood BBK kit first.

Got back from King of the Hammers last night. Finally made it out there.. and what a blast! We cant wait to go back. We will definitely be taking more time off next time.. there's just too much to see and do. Only casualty was a passenger side CV... again. Pulled up to run my winch line out for a Jeep that was in a really bad spot. He was stuck perpendicular along a sand dune.. on the edge of rolling. hooked up to keep tension on him so he didnt roll, and another jeep hooked up to the front to pull him up. I let out line as he winched in. seconds later... as we were all leaving the area.. I was working on getting the truck out.. and just pushed it a little too hard.. again. wheels cranked and in and out of traction just blew the CV. had my uncle run into town and grab a spare while I tore it down. 3 hours later it was replaced and we were back on the trails.

other than that, the truck did great. new DK lowers are freakin fantastic! what a difference! did some wheeling and exploring, plus the usual shenanigan's.
