Smoked some short ribs for a bit, then into a pan with goodness to braise. Pretty damn tasty! Got late, no time for pics. This was as it was foiled up to get tender!

Have any of you guys converted a weber gasser from natural gas to propane or the other way around? I've got a line on my dream gas grill - a Summit S-660 but the only problem is it is plumbed for NG and I need propane. I've been told that Weber doesn't sell a conversion kit.

Or take an orifice or a burner to a HVAC shop or a propane supplier. If they don't have the proper size orifice they can order them.

If you can’t find it on line, try your local propane supplier. Some carry a full line of parts to make the change. Otherwise I believe there’s therapy available in some regions.

Thanks guys! Who wouldhave known that it's as easy as google searching. I'll go to a local propane supplier tomorrow first. It was a craigslist deal and the guy as asking $250 for it but when I got there I could tell that he had never cleaned the thing and it looked like it had been kept outside without a cover it's whole life. I told him I was going to pass on it but obviously he wanted it gone and he told me he'd let it go for $50. For that price I couldn't resist.

For $50 I can't complain. Hell, it's like a $2600 grill when new. I gave it a good cleaning when I got home today and it actually looks to be in pretty decent shape. It just needs some new flavorizer bars and that propane conversion kit and then itll be good to go.

I recommend treating them as a wearing cyclical item as well because if you nurse them longer than you should, that just goes down into the flame sticks instead.

I can’t remember their name so flame sticks it is. Mine last 2 years or so with my frequency of use but I do them yearly they’re cheap enough.

This is the one I should have got. The 18.5 is great, but those extra few inches makes everybody happy.
