AllTechSource.com has dropped the 10% discount to the general public and has reduced our discount by an equal amount. That puts the TW discount in line with what other vendors have offered for previous group buys. In all honesty, those group buys did not happen because members generally felt it was not a significant savings. That said, AllTechSource.com is still offering free shipping, so the discount isn't bad. It just isn't as good as it was prior to Cyber Monday. The current discount will expire on Dec. 31.

Summary: We still get a discount that isn't available to the general public, but it isn't as steep as it was before now.

Nice, glad I bought it when I did. As many people said on here before, buy once cry once.

Yep. I'm happy to have got mine when I did. It's still a better deal than I've seen elsewhere, but I haven't really been shopping around either.

Regardless, a HUGE THANK YOU to AllTechSource.com for hooking TW up with an awesome deal!

I appreciate this group buy being put together. I purchased the 471254 model that seemed to be the best they offered based on what some of you have said here. How and where are you guys mounting your antennas for those who got the Drive Reach OTR Fleet 471254? I can't for the life of me achieve enough distance apart without the transmit signal being reduced. This is indicated when the amplifier flashes green and red prior to going solid green. After that I have to put my phone right next to the transmit antenna to get service. When you have no oscillation, the light should come on green and stay solid green. Then you should have about a 3ft bubble of service in your cab. I mounted my transmit antenna down by the floor board, on the passenger side and the receive antenna on the back left corner of my roof rack on my camper shell. I don't know how to get more distance. Thanks in advance for whatever advice you guys might have.

Haven't mounted mine yet, so I can't say.

But did anyone notice that WeBoost released an actual Drive Reach OTR bundle without an increased price, and a fancy new antenna?

I did notice that. According to this youtube video, the new antenna is also better. 2.4-4.3dBi gain vs 2.5-3.5dBi gain of the the antenna most of us just bought. The antenna that came with the fleet package most of us just bought, came out in 2016. The new antenna came out in October of this year. The only difference I can see between the two packages is that ours came with the cigarette lighter plug cut off and an in line fuse in the box. Not sure what we paid extra for. The Amplifier seems to be the same.

I also noticed this and decided to email them to ask... I was thinking of purchasing the new antenna. Here is what they said:

"The new 311229 trucker antenna has a slightly larger decibel gain range than your current antenna (311229 2.4 - 4.3 dB; 304415 2.5 - 3.5 dB), the cable is 1' longer, however, the 311229 can only get as high as 40" where the one you have can get up to 45" with all masts added. If you were to switch to the 311229 antenna I cannot guarantee you will see too much of an increase, so I would stick with what you have."

I mounted mine to the bed rail (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-ends-dec-31-2020.689956/page-5#post-24564690) and did not experience that issue.

It sounds like you should have plenty of space between the antennas, so I doubt that is your issue. Where did you mount the actual unit? I'm wondering if maybe it is too close to the inverter in the cab (or something).

I found that I got a boost in cell service within the 36" range, but that the best boost was just a few inches from the internal antenna. I snaked the cable up and put the internal antenna by the front cup holders since I normally put my phone in that area (if not in my pocket).

I haven't had any oscillation issues. My external antenna is at the right rear of the roof rack. The amp unit is under the front passenger seat. The internal antenna is on the top of the DMM/console at the dash.
If yours are spread out, there may be an issue with the hardware.

Good info on both of these. Good to know that we won't need to upgrade our antenna.

After speaking with with WeBoost, although I have a very weak verizon signal where i live, there is a AT&T tower about a mile from my house. This was causing some kind of interference. I think if the weboost detects a very strong signal on one of the bands it boosts, it reduces power to prevent interference, even if the band you need to boost has a weak signal. The thought being if the signal is very strong, it must be near a tower. Don't quote me on that! So it wasn't that my two antennas were too close to each other, it was that I was too close to a tower that transmits one of the bands weboost works on. Starts up solid green when i've tested it in areas away from my house and away from other towers.

On an unrelated note, if you haven't already set yours up and if you plan to use the spring/mount supplied with the antenna, spray it with something to prevent rusting. I went for a drive on the coast and the salty air rusted the spring and bolts in a matter of hours. Chrome is tacky anyway ;)

Well, glad to know it isn't an issue with the booster itself or your install, but that's pretty unfortunate about the tower interference. Hopefully, you are getting good results when you are away from your house.

Also, that's crazy about the spring. I'm gonna have to think about what to spray mine with...my other antenna (CB), on what I think is the same spring, has been on the truck for years and not rusted.

That's cool! ....but probably not for me.

So I asked the vendor about doing a standing discount for forum members. Something that would be within range that we could post it publicly and have at least a better deal than standard MSRP.

They decided that they would rather extend the group buy!

This is the same discount as we had after Cyber Monday. PM for details.

I saw that too. I really didn’t want to bother/worry about the mechanical parts going bad while hitting the trails so I went with a https://www.rhinorack.com/en-us/pro.../aerial-brackets/folding-aerial-bracket_43196 I think it’s a little over priced, but a buddy pitched in a little funding as a Christmas gift so I figured why not. It’s a nice mount and I will be using it on my FrontRunner rack.
The front runner mount is less expensive but sold out everywhere I looked, / shrug.
