I know that my door logos weeped ever so slightly but I forgot all about it as the weepage was minimal and it didn't effect anything other than a few drops worth of water in a torrential downpour. Now that I remember, I need to send someone a dm...

I do have the frontrunner doors on each side and noticed that water also pools on the bottom of the door on both sides. I tried sealing the logo like it was suggested by another member but it didnt help.

The leak i saw today was specifically coming through between the top of the bedrail and the drifter rubber seal.

Since I have a 3rd gen VO told me that the bed rails are not a problem like on the 2nd gen. I took them off, taped the metal bed top and applied a silicone bead all the way around before putting the bed rail caps back on. Kind of too late to replace them with smooth metal ones as I have no way of removing the drifter.

hey joshhh (said in AA meeting tone)

Easy fix: get another clamp and clamp where it's leaking

Harder fix: stop by camper shell shop with 4x4s cut to lift the camper up and replace the seal with this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NCCNUJQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I can get you the measurement of the 4x4s, I have a pair that I used to lift my camper. Once in a bind, I got this stupid idea to lift the entire camper with a floor jack, 4x4, and two pieces of plywood. I put plywood under the jack in the bed, 4x4 on the jack, and plywood under the sleeping platform. Lifted the whole camper up like this. If you do this and break something, your fault; it was a stupid idea.

Can you please tell me where I can buy another c clamp to match the ones from VO?

I know it's been asked before but I can't find the post. Anyone know what a drifer for a 1st gen Tundra weighs? It's a 6' bed. Assume 2 glass windows, not the Front Runners.

Thank you for the information, I ordered two of these in case there is another spot that could use a clamp.

I know the objection, but there is a Vagabond buildout and mod thread that we can keep unpolluted and this seems like the most logical place for this. Phil responded to my email and states that my Nomad order #180 is slated for build in April. Woo Hoo!!! I have to applaud him for responding to our need for communication in spite of the mountain of odds that have been against him this past year.

    Keep on Keeping on Amigo!

Supply chains can be a MF'er under normal circumstances, the impacts from the pandemic have been detrimental across multiple industries. Happy to hear there are still outside processors that are keeping the lights on. a lot of PC, lazer cutters, sheet metal fab shops in my area aren't going to be able to whether the storm...not like these campers can.

    Vagabond FTW.

Just adding options to mine with Phil recently - added an Alu-cab 270° with some rigid scene lights. He was also nice enough to add a USB-C even thought that's not on the "options list."

I'm on 14 months and still ok with the wait, as more options seem to keep rolling out.

the wait will be well worth it! and you are right, a liver lining to the wait time is the more campers that are built the more they are refined and improved!

Guys has anyone noticed an issue with moisture inside of the Drifter lid? I popped off the fan bezel today to install strips of metal for the fan cover and noticed frozen water droplets inside. It is now 14F outside so everything is pretty much frozen but I am concerned that moisture is accumulating inside the lid and I will have mold problems down the road.

If you are running the fan in cold temps, you're pulling the moisture up into the fan. I personally would put a bead of black silicone or RTV along the edge where it's getting in. I would ask the guys at vagabond though!

I will have to come up with a way to dry this out when it gets warm before sealing anything. The frozen droplets are pretty much all the way around. I bought a fan cover that installs with magnets to block heat from escaping through the fan but its kind of janky.

Phil said they are now drilling and mounting the light/fan controls at the top of the panels instead of the bottom. Now you can reach them from the sleeping platform. Good evidence that they still monitor these forums and tweak the design to make it better.

    • Wiring gauge / termination point / routing for solar pre-wire for solar options
    • Awning mounts (handle options on lid)
    • New switch panel / USB/Power options
    • Lower insulation option WITH windows (I know what it is, but some people wonder about this)
    • Molex plug on drifter that people wonder about how power connects to the truck
    • Clearly show/point out the lighting options for those not familiar (standard cargo, lower level, lid)
    • New bed platform corrugated material with aluminum edging / bed extension option (sizing? custom?)
