Purchased my dream truck (used) recently with 64k on it. It’s a 2013 double cab 4x4 off road. I love it but I knew I wanted to do some kind of mods to it. I always wanted a trd pro ever since they launched, and I like the idea of being a little bit more capable off road but still pretty much stock as it’s my daily driver. My truck is pretty much all inspired by @ThatguyJZ’s build. Saw his truck and loved it. Probably won’t bother trying to track down a trd sport hood or rear bumper to make it clone correct. I like the way it looks and I’d rather not dump the extra money into those parts.

Bought it mostly stock, it had the bak flip bed cover and a center console vault already installed, as well as a trailer brake controller.

First was the color matched grill surround. Had to get rid of the chrome . Trimmed the front mud flaps down 6 inches and plasti dipped the emblems. Then the smoked trd headlights, then trd pro grill insert. Then got the front windows tinted and got husky fitted all weather mats. Slapped on a little stubby antenna and debadged the tailgate to get ready for the trd emblem. Installed a pop lock tailgate lock, then the trd pro/ fj beadlock style wheels. Threw the trd shift knob on and the trd cat back exhaust. Next up is slap the trd pro suspension on, it’s sitting in my room right now.

next on the list is Bfg ko2s in 265 75 16, Toyota skid plate, rock sliders and maybe some kind of semi hidden bumper/ winch.

Spent the day wrenching and got the trd pro suspension slapped on and got it aligned. Happy with it so far!

I have the same truck and color and love it still. purchased new in 13. put the Toyota roof rack on right away. does that pro suspension lift the truck? I am finally considering suspension upgrades...

low mileage for a 2013...nice truck!...I just bought a 2012 DCSB 2wd TRD Sport with 127,000 miles....love it!.....I have no need for a 4wd but you'll love the PRO suspension! (I previously had a 2015 TRD PRO in the Inferno color)

I was looking for a black or white truck but the mgm is growing on me! The trd pro suspension is about a 2 inch lift I think, they’re kind of hard to track down for the 2nd gens now though.

Spent a lot of time on Craigslist looking for the right one! I had 220k on my old 1999 prerunner before this one. 127k is still fresh. Why’d you get rid of the pro?

Looks great!! But those fenders flares don’t look trimmed to me. I’ve always liked that color.

I know the TRD Bilstein suspension is a tuned version of the Bilstein 6112 coilovers, but does the TRD version come with the lift notches for preload as well?

I believe they’re non adjustable versions of the 6112s with a trd tuned spring?

yeah, I'm glad I found this gem!......honestly, I was suckered in by the looks and supposed "better" engine of the 3rd gen.....I traded my 2015 TRD PRO in the inferno color for a 2019 TRD OR 4wd in the cement color......could only take the crappy engine/tranny combo for about 6 months before I traded it in on a 2019 Raptor.......had that since Dec. of last year and sold it for what I paid for it a few weeks ago......wanted to get back to a proven 2nd gen and I'm so glad I found my current truck!

Love the inferno 2015s! I was interested in the 3rd gens too, more horses is tempting but I honestly don’t like the way they look and I haven’t heard great things about the tranny. Surprised you let your raptor go,you didn’t like it?

Got out to blm land near Joshua tree today to do a little wheeling and shooting. First time I got to test the new suspension or even put it in 4. Had a great time, truck did well and the atrac feature is nice. Also first time with the eotech.
