My dad just recently got quoted for a Leer shell taking 5-6 weeks. Northern Alabama.

I purchased one from same dealer ago and it took 4-5 weeks so Leer production times is longer but not as bad as I thought it would be

Since it was really hard to find photos of an access cab with a snugtop highliner (sport).

This is what you're looking at with stock OR suspension.

My Leer came in at 6 weeks. The top was all scuffed. It was sent back to be repainted. I finally got it back at the 8 week mark. I took it back 6 times for leaks. A crack was discovered at the dealer, so now they have ordered me a new one. It’s been a mess!

That sucks. Bad experience for sure. I have been very happy with mine that I bought new a year ago. I was impressed actually, hopefully the 2nd version works out good for you. I know waiting and the inconvenience is no good though.

Hope it works out. Let us know

Long bed with ARE MX. Always thought the tall toppers were stupid looking. And I’m still getting used to it. But man it’s a lot nicer to sleep in this thing than a short bed with a short topper. Just gotta get used to the bubble style. Lol

Thanks! Yeah I’ve had all kinds of issues. When they got it back from being repainted the passenger side window wouldn’t open. It took everything the guy at the dealer had to get it to slide open. They discovered the window was chipped. I think it was dropped at Leer to have the window chipped and the front corner edge broke off and cracked on the actual fiberglass. That’s not all the issues I’ve had either. I hope the 2nd one comes in better. If not I’ll tell everyone I can to go to ARE or Snugtop. It’s been a long 4 months since the actual purchase.

Definitely not. Just bought some cheap Amazon strip lights and stuck them on. Ran the wiring to a switch panel in the bed, which is wired under the truck to a fuse panel connected to the battery.

They are the Tacoma beast ones, they aren’t too bad but after about a year and a half in harsh conditions they’ve began to peel on the housing. (Not a big deal just annoys me) so I’m going to switch to the 2020 pro lights.

I used some of the long LEDs strips on a roll but the clear rubber stuff it's made of eventually deteriorated and the output suffered. I swapped to some of the universal DRL lights and they are a lot better, IMO. They are COB style and you can bend them if needed and they still work find. They have aluminum backing you can scuff it and use some silicone caulk to mount it to the fiberglass.

You can stick them under the hood also.
