How are you liking the infinity reference? I had them 10+ years ago and loved them. I'm considering putting the same thing in my Tacoma.

I’m going to ask something stupid, are those just regular pelican cases you mount up on the rack? Do you drill into them to mount? What are most guys storing in them?

Just my 2c. These are the same I installed the weekend after I got my 2017 TRD OR access cab. Fantastic speakers but it took several weeks for them to break in. Also realized that sound deadening was crucial to improve base response, especially applying closed foam deadening to the plastic door panels.

Installed the Mountain Hatch Tailgate Insert. Although I am not 100% happy with the final fit.
    - The holes for the screws didn't 100% line up with the factory holes.
    - The recessed holes for the screws closer to the bed seem like they need to be deeper since the plastic screw grommet kept getting pulled out when I was putting them back in.
    - The back of the Insert is flat and the tailgate it is attached to is not. In one of the pictures attached, you can see the corner is bent and the gaps introduce more spaces for dirt, dust and water to enter the tailgate.

For the price, I feel like it should fit better :(

Agreed. When I installed mine, I had the exact same issues and thoughts. I’m still happy with it and time will tell if these small issues become bigger issues down the road:notsure:

Overall, I like it, I have no doubt it'll be more useful to me compared to the factory insert. I just had higher expectations considering the price.

I'm most likely going to replace the factory screws with some longer ones, as well as adding some weather stripping underneath the insert to not only seal it more since I'm planning to get a camper but to also flatten the sides a bit. I'll post it on here when I do it so you can see the results.

Wheels and tires just in time for a snowfall. TRD wheels in gunmetal gloss and General Grabber ATX 265/70/17.
Tiniest bit of rub on front mud flap. Easily fixed with some heat and wood.

Well looks like I'm bailing on project 2 for the day. I was trying to replace the chrome rear bumper ends with black ones. I just can't figure out how to get the clips under the step pad . Decided to stop before I break something.

Thanks for this (and the responses). I almost pulled the trigger on one of these but because of the cost I thought I'd wait until I had a chance to research them a bit. You're timing was great. Gonna hold off for awhile, maybe they'll get their shit together and correct these deficiencies.

Driveshaft disconnect to be flat towed behind our RV.
Wrapped up installing Blue Ox baseplate kit, Roadmaster brake light kit, and 6 pin connector, and RVi Toad battery charger, and wiring run for RVi Toad brake controller.
Driveshaft disconnect being installed Wednesday at Superior Driveshaft. Then I will be all set to flat tow our 2019 Tacoma 4WD Automatic behind our RV.

I had to chop the factory TRD off road tow hook to work with the baseplate. I will likely swap it out for a bracket and shackle in the future.

Love the photos. They almost look like when a company cheaply renders an existing photo into another color, except that's your actual truck. The wheels play off the color much better than I would have thought.

OEM black led fog lights installed on my pre wired SR!!
Ordered the whole kit from a Toyota dealer. Had to change the stalk as well. Luckily I have removed the steering wheel many times before (including switching to a leather wrapped Toyota wheel. I kept the black SR plastics because CHROME SUCKS). I also put in the intermittent wiper stalk. Why didn't I just by an SR5?

    I like to look.

If anyone has had one for a few years: how do they hold up? Do you still like it?

Was there an incident with spray paint in the bed while you were installing it?
