    Hello world, been reading these forums.for years to do diy stuff etc. Finally decided to join since I am stuck.... I know there is a lot of threads on vibes after lifting. I'm banging my head against the wall though. 2006 tacoma trd. 5100's on the top notch with 2018 stock trd springs. Think this puts me at 3.75" lift up front. 2" add a leaf rear. Did the diff drop. Carrier bearing drop. ECGs bushing. Stock sport wheels. 285 75 17 bfg's. Running no sway bar. Getting shakes at most highway speeds that seem to be coming from under my feet, ie driver's side diff. Looking for some pro tips, was going to try removing the diff drop tonight see what happens since I did all the mods at once I guess back track and see. What I may have done myself here.

    If it were me, I would try removing the carrier bearing drop first just because it would be easier to try. That and I've heard many say leave it off or leave it off unless you have a vibration.

    No vibes before, I hade the driveline replaced as a recall part.

    I'd like to think the tires are okay. I'm going to swap em.with the rear to see if it changes anything.

    Anyone have experience running 5100s without a diff drop? I'm going that route next. Did the string test. Ran it with and without the cb drop. Not really a difference. Angles are spot on with the cb drop so I'll leave that in. I think. It has to be tires or diff drop is causing it. It's really not to lifted

    If your working angles are good with the diff drop in place , I would leave the diff drop in for now . You took your drive line measurements with all 4 wheels on the ground ?
    I am running 5100 at factory level ...no diff drop

    Was the driveshaft installed at the same time you lifted the truck ? I am wondering if the driveshaft is out of phase ?
    Also if you are talking about a front diff drop , many guys say the front diff drop causes a lot of greif . I think you can maintain driveline angles without the front diff drop.

    The drive shaft was done maybe 20 k ago with no issues.The vibe is clearly under my feet. That thread makes me want to try removing the front diff drop. Sounds like it can just cause greif.

    I agree . try popping the diff drop back out . I have read many threads about guys removing it for similar issues like you are having .

    Pulled the front diff drop, No change. Im going to start swapping tires around. See if I can make these vibes go away

    Any chance I could have caused this pulling the CV shaft when I did the ecgs bushing? I noticed after popping it out that the upper boot was stretched out. After doing a little jigling around something popped back together and the boot looked normal. Could something have been bent by prying/ banging the CV out?
