For my wife, biking, skiing and running stuff works. She likes some shiny stuff but doesn’t wear a lot of jewelry. Baking and cooking seems a little selfish since I reap the benefits. I like the massage chair idea...
I’m also planning on a couple of the bigger “wish list” projects in the house...I’ll be painting a gaudy brass light fixture oil rubbed bronze, switching all the door handles and hinges to the same, and hanging some stained glass panels I bought her last year.

My wife showed me a watch the other day I got her for Christmas. That was easy.

i got my wife a Mirror for her birthday (was supposed to be Christmas, but they had a sale going on). She absolutely loves that thing. She's sort of addicted to working out, though. So...go with what they enjoy and try to avoid crazy surprises. I got her a pearl necklace last year, because I thought she'd like it, and it very much compliments her skin tone. Hasn't worn it once. Also got her an Apple Watch last year on a whim...has worn it every single day.

This will probably be the knock-out gift this year.

I'm in the same boat, need to come up with something. Last Christmas was bed racks for her 2013 Tacoma so she could carry two Kayaks. Those racks turned out to be one of the most used Christmas gifts ever. The girls hardly missed a weekend kayaking and fishing. Now what? I better think of something quic.

It's a dangerous precedent, going for shiny instead of thoughtful. Because next year, you'll have to get the slightly bigger shiny. You have to. If you get less than last year, then it will be pondered over and analyzed like a forensic lab. Something must be wrong. Is it hidden money issues? Does he not love me as much? Is he spending his Christmas gift on someone else? If you get the same thing as last year then clearly you're phoning it in. It has to be bigger and better than the shiny from last Christmas. And the year after next it needs to be slightly bigger still. It doesn't take very many years to get into the doghouse if it's anything less than a carat. And then 2 carats. And then something that belongs in the Tower of London. Just saying. :cookiemonster:

Good laugh at the analyzed description. I started small 1/4, 1/3, 1/2 hoped she didn't get anymore ear holes. Haha. She's actually very practical though and doesn't wear much jewelry. Although couple years ago she was looking at diamonds again so I got some but they weren't that expensive (chocolate diamonds?). Also a necklace, never worn. 38 SPCL revolver so that year I did pretty well.

Na she has no expectations I’m pretty lucky in that aspect and she supports my hobby of being an automotive enthusiast and as you guys know that’s not always cheap. I think it’s thoughtful to give a woman something you have to work hard for and then tell her she’s every bit of it and more. If she expected that stuff I don’t think we would have made to the wedding lol.

That is where I buy gifts for my wife. You wouldn't think she is the type, but she LOVES them. Highly recommended.

Big ones are King suspension, SSO bumper w/winch, Pelfreybuilt sliders.
Something you made by hand for her. Even if it's not great, she'll love you for the effort you put into it.
