Our first split was very uneventful with only a few birds. The second split opens up today with quite a few geese hitting fields and few ducks. Our biggest problem is that the timber has yet to flood. Que rain dance!

Had a decent day in the Outer Banks, NC this past Saturday. Shot a few mergs, couple red heads (including a nice drake), goldeneye and long tail hens.

Weather was too nice so the ducks stopped moving about 11 am.

Here's a pic from early in the day. We added a couple more after this.

Had a Tundra Swan permit, too, but never got one close enough. Back to deer hunting for a couple of weeks, then I'll switch my full attention to waterfowl and upland in January.
