revisiting the oil cooler as my e-fan setup is en route. The PLan right now:
    1. E-Fan swap
    2. 160 mishi t-stat
    3. reseal up the shroud to the CSF Tacoma rad
    4. was the thinking better time than ever to do a larger cooler for the trans

Besides @zscott 's big CSF setup any other good setups besides the
Derale 52506 25 Row Core Stacked Plate Cooler Kit? Seems to be popular but I recall @zscott said it didn't do much for him.

How important is the dowel? NST SC crank pulley matches the stock one. The NST crank pulley has holes that don’t match stock crank pulley.

I was gonna run the derale w/a fan. Its Like $200. But you'll need to pay attention to how it wants the ports orientented and if it'll have a t stat and temp trigger. Just with a cooler that has an advertised gvwr rating like "13000lbs" and you can get one that is a above ur weight.

I had mine swapped. @Torspd and i also widened that key a bit too for better engagement.

I have no experience with the derale. The one I tried was this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CIGE9G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and I didn't notice a ton of extra help vs the factory unit.

hmm I take it your saying go with one that's rated higher than the truck. What should I consider for t stat and temp trigger? Would that be if your are bypassing and going direct to the trans? This area is a bit new so not sure which way too with it. The truck is HAF so any insight is helpful. Or if we have a proven parts list ill go with that. was looking at that one as it comes up the most.

Considering your 7000lbs you should prob go with a cooler off a 3/4 truck. Fan is useful in low speed/ no clean air mounting placement. T stat for cold regions.

It's possible to smooth out and port it somewhat but the supercharger inlet will never be able to match the 76 mm opening of the throttle body. The adaptor steps down to the SC inlet size. There is an inside ridge on the inlet flange that can be ground down and the throttle body adaptor can be matched to that.

After doing that I attached the throttle body adapter to the (removed) SC and smoothed and ported it as much as I could. The SC inlet doesn't have much material that can be removed past where the throttle body bolts on. A lot of what I reduced was on the inside corner of the SC inlet and the throttle body adaptor had an asymmetric outlet shape to match that after i was done.

Never took a single picture unfortunately.

Lovely lost a bolt for a bracket that mounts to block... and didn't remember to take pictures of hoses... so mad at myself right now.

So, I just put in my ecu, per justdsm’s instructions.
After syncing my new, hp tuned ecu, with the immobilized ecu.
I take my truck around the block and give it some gas. it doesn’t have any power and feels bogged down, like I have the ebrake on, or something.
The trac, and check engine lights are also still on. I understand this is quite the long shot, as there are many variables to my predicament .
I’ve been to hell and back trying to supercharge my truck, before I take it to another shop, I just wanna see if my Tacoma bros have any guidance/advice?

    Hey Justin,

I hate to ask but are you sure you have the S/C ECU installed and not your original? I should have marked them. Please don't think this is an insult! I just want to make sure we can rule out the absolute basics. The calibration in your ECU is run by many here, and will have no issues.

Can you confirm that you have the "orange" injectors installed?

hey Just, that question isn’t below my level of intelligence, so no offense taken!
I believe I put the tuned ecu in, as it had a number painted in blue, along with misc distribution tag ziptied to it (my original did not)

I was wondering if I could re-install my original ecu? I want see if the power loss is there or not. Is there any adverse effects, or negative repercussions in doing so?
I was thinking, if I still have acceleration issues, then perhaps I re-wired the electrical harness incorrectly.

That said, I’m confident everything is and will work as it should from your end, thanks again Justin!

Anyone have pics of how the VSV is mounted and how hoses are routed to and from it?
