    Well my OME890's arrived to replace the OME906 in anticipation of;

    Sherpa Equipment 'Antero' roof rack
    Nguyen Works Dual Swing Out rear bumper
    Resz Fabrication rear links

    After the above items are built and delivered, I'll work forward to sending my front diff and Harrop locker to Zuk for rebuild+install.

    Hey guys, so I took over wife’s 16’ 4runner as my DD. So of course ordered some upgrades. I’m gonna be putting on some icon ext travel 2.5s and just a simple 1.5” spring in rear with 5100s. I thought I read that a diff drop on 2nd gen tacomas/5th gen 4runners is kinda a waste. Can someone confirm? Also on the front I know extended brake lines would be smart but is it necessary if running the extended travel coilovers? Anyone know about the rear on a t4r, if extended brake lines are needed with only a 1.5” spring? Any help would be appreciated! In typical fashion this is snowballing lol. From a basic 5100 lift all around to this, probably end up fully LT and caged :rofl:

    I am running the Ironman Foam Cell Pro at 3" of lift with UCA's. I didn't do a diff drop or any extended brake lines. I have done a ton of wheeling with no issues what so ever.

    A diff drop is a waste just like the Tacoma does nothing good and causes a weak point. I run ext travel ADS and the front /rear brake lines are not an issue at all stock is fine

    Same here too. I didn't add a diff drop with my lift. It seems to only slight lower the angles. I couldn't really see any difference when looking at before/after pics of the diff drop.

    Selling the 3rd Gen on Monday. Coincidently picking up a 4th Gen on Monday haha. I'm sad to see it go but here's to the next adventure vehicle!

    Man....a 100 series LC or 4th Gen V8 4Runner would be the top 2 on the list if I got rid of my 3rd Gen.

    Picking up a 2006 V8 4Runner to match our 2006 V8 Tundra haha. Worked out accidently. We had no intentions and actually wanted a V6 Runner. Just found a good deal and happened to get both old cars sold at the same time.

    We got this Tundra less than a month ago. Feels weird to buy two vehicles so close together ha.

    Does anyone know if a 4th gen T4R on a 3" (maybe more) spring lift will fit 33" tires with factory bumpers?

    Just talking daily street driving for now, not anything severe (I know I'll need to to a BMC at some point before doing much that'll put the wheels at full lock/compression to avoid rubbing).

    I've got all my suspension parts for my build (including UCAs and diff drop kit), but the bumpers are still working through lead times. The reason I'm not sure how high it's going to ride is that I got the springs sized for the weight of front/rear bumpers with winch and swing-out, but can't put all that on yet; between that and the new setup maybe needing to "settle" a bit I'm expecting it to look like it's on stilts with the current 30" street tread tires on it. Since I can't really get it aligned properly (and it'll likely have bizarre handling before that) until the tires are on, I'm hoping to get the tires on as soon after the suspension goes on as I can.

    Got this light bar for free. Put a couple Lamin-x strips on it and tried to mount it in the upper grill. That was a no go, so I found this Rago Hidden Mount with the bar for a steal of the price. Didn't realize he was selling the lights with them as well. So I have to figure that out as well.

    *Lightly* considering letting my 4R go. Curious as to what everyone thinks I could get for it / what I should list it for should I do so. I changed jobs and no longer have a convenient place to work on it, am working from home (and thus probably don't need it), and am concurrently likely losing my 2nd parking space. Details are in my signature but it's an '05 Limited with the V8, leather / heated seats, sunroof, etc. 270k miles but runs and drives like it has 1/2 of that. Newly installed suspension and Nitto TG2s. Really good condition all-around. Some light surface rust on the frame but structurally perfect. Seems to be a huge disparity between these being listed low and those out in CA going for like $12,500. Thoughts?

    Since this is most active.. thought I'd post here..

    So I finally got the go ahead from my parents (mostly my Mom since its hers) to upgrade her 2018 Limited 4Runner. It has the XREAS system, and since its for them, I'm really wanting to keep it simple and to keep that system intact. I've been looking at the Revtek kit specifically made for the XREAS system.. and I think it would be a great solution for them.

    My concern/question is... I have seen some stuff regarding the XREAS system and that it could fail/start to fail with higher mileage (100k+). How true is this.. and if so.. maybe I should just get ahead of it and replace the entire XREAS system. Again, I would prefer not to if its a reliable system.. but if its bound to fail.. then obviously I will replace it before it becomes an issue.

    If so.. what's the go-to for 4runner lift kits these days? I've been running Kings for years on my Taco.. so worst case.. I can just go that route. but definitely overkill for them.

    4th gen T4R with a few mods
    My 2003 had XREAS on it when I got it. No idea if the system is basically the same from 2003 to 2018. Personally, I'm not a fan of the system and prefer regular shocks. If the current systems are similar as mine was, it's very expensive to replace components since you can't just replace one shock. They have to be done in pairs.

    Does their 4Runner have the air adjustable height rear suspension as well? If so, that will add further expense. No idea if that was still offered for 2018 tho.

    You could keep it extremely simple and get take offs from another 4Runner that was non-XREAS. They can be found pretty cheap on Craigslist.
