    192 miles for me.
If the weathers good I can make a weekend trip out of it. Camp on the glade top trail. Never been there and it looks beautiful.

I'm 75 miles west of you. Only flashed mine once, but it's all the same. Could do it next weekend if you like.

That is a cheap Chinese counterfeit, with software drivers that may or may not work.
You risk 'bricking' your ECU using something like that.
And, who knows what all is actually installed on your computer when you install that software.

There is only one legitimate Tactrix connector:

Currently at dealer with fingers crossed seeing if they will do update (as I don't have laptop to do it myself). So far getting the run around that it's obsolete and Toyota won't do updates anymore. lol

There is no such thing as an obsolete TSB if it is more current than your existing calibration, esp as you are likely back on something worse than 04B03. There are several possible TSBs that could apply. From the 1st Post:
    upload_2020-12-28_7-34-15.jpg

I would bet that if I were to look those up on the nhtsa website, there is no obsolete notice.

Just when I thought I had heard every excuse possible for the dealer to not do a TSB or warranty work.

"Your recall/TSB is obsolete because the problem magically fixes itself after a few months."

Some TSBs do become obsolete. From what I have seen this only seems to happen when they are replaced by another, newer TSB. A good example is the clutch pedal TSB.

I have not seen that for any of the 1st Post TSBs yet and thumbed through the 2017 TSBs a week or so ago.

I get that, but Techstream will tell them the supereceded number when they go online to look. The dealer's response should have been that there was a newer one (if that is the case) after telling @THE_KiRRAx the one he requested was obsolete.

I know right? Well, finally convinced them to do it after having to talk and explain everything to four different people.

"Oh we found one that matches what you told us ."

Mfers, I brought the TSB paper, yet they make it sound like it was a miracle they found thier own copy. Ha ha, it's in bay now getting updated. That was fun.

Get it on paper what *exactly* they updated. Preferably showing "as found" and "as left" with the ECU revision. It wouldn't be the first time a dealer told someone they updated and didn't.

I had the same issue when trying to get my 16 updated.

They also told me that they couldn’t do anything without an issue to fix. So i picked up the TSB paper i handed them and read the issues back to them for them to document in the case lol

If the dealer won't help and you're willing to drive up north a few hours, @G8R_Taco or myself could give you a hand.
Gator and I are talking about meeting up and having a few drinks. Maybe you could get the first round after we're done.

    Edit:
I see they caved. Get them to show you the verification at the end of the flash. It will show that the flash was successful and also shows the ECU ID.

    I second this.

I stopped counting how many people I've tuned who told me the dealer applied the TSB update, only to discover that they were lied to.

Yep, I had someone on 04B00 still that told me the dealer had just "updated" his ECM a month earlier.
