Looking at a Razor MX350 for my 6yr old grandson to ride in my back yard.
He is small and timid and his mom is over protective. Thinking of this for 6 months or so and then moving to a Yamaha 50.

Any experience with the Razor or anything similar?

would've been psyched to see on of these under the tree when I was a tyke. plus it's electric so it's not a "real" motorcycle!

sold through a motorcycle company with a dealer network. I think with a razor once you buy it you get to deal with it.
oops - nevermind - it's built by razor!

My neighbor's kid (~7 years old) got an electric motorcycle for Christmas. So awesome!

Oh man, I've already bought a Razor, but might have gotten that one since my son and I both ride Indians, and my grandson could have had his own Indian. Oh well, the bike I bought was cheaper.

If everything goes well, and his momma agrees, I'm planning to step him up to a Yamaha PW50 this summer.

The bike has worked out great. Now my grandson wants to go outside. He's doing pretty well for a kid who can't even ride a bicycle. Should be on track for a Yamaha PW50 this summer.

The Honda 50 is a much better buy. The PW is drive shaft. Once you’re done with it the Honda will be much easier to sell. I would go Suzuki JR 50 before the Yamaha. I sold them all for a living at one time. I started on a JR50 at 3 years old

They've been making the PW50 for over 20 years and you can't hardly find a used one for sale. When you do, they want almost as much as a new one. I'm not worried about resale, mostly because I think there will be plenty reasons to keep it over the next 10 years or so. Hopefully lots of grandkids learn to ride on it.
