I’m a sucker for a good flashlight. My go to ones are Fenix and Surefire although I had a couple rechargeable Streamlights when I was still on the job.
Surefire G2X Maxvision is my newest addition 15 lumen on low and 800 lumen on high, not a ton of throw but super bright flood with no hot spots.

I have a few. More than this if you add the ones in the vehicles and at work.

No pictures of my collection, but I'm a big Fenix fan. Good quality, rechargeable, long battery life. And, great output!

I've been wanting another one of their products for awhile. I guess I just needed someone to remind me. :)

I don’t know anything about them but got one off Amazon for about $20, been using it for 4 years and it’s strong and runs off a 18650 battery or 3 AAA’s

Here are most of my lights, as you can see I am a big surefire fan. I use either rcr123 or 18650.

Good collection! I'm in the market for something new and would love any advice if you guys have some - I have a few Surefire Ultra 2s laying around, but looking for something a bit 'better' (I'm sure there have been a ton of improvements in the past 10yrs or so). I have a bunch of rechargeable CR123As as well, so it would be convenient to keep something with the same battery.

My general uses: camping/hiking (long lasting on low-light/medium power, being able to recharge in the field would be great), spotting wildlife (higher power & focused), and potentially photography (adjustable beam/power, no 'hotspots').

    Any thoughts?

Can someone recommend a good Rechargeable 18650 Li-Ion battery that lasts a longtime?

I really recommend checking out Fenix. I've been consistently satisfied with their products. You can narrow down the selection by size, battery type, etc. They're expensive, but well built and reliable.

@Loan Wolve they make some extremely powerful lights and some have both spot and flood options which might be good for your use.

I like Surefires. No likey prices. I've been buying Fenix for a while. Reasonably priced and good quality. I also really like their batteries. I've been using them in my little light in my truck and a lantern that I use camping (both Fenix). I've been using both lights a bunch and have only recharged the batteries once. Also like that the one in the light in my truck is rechargeable via USB. Makes it easy.

I also have the same clock.

I just asked where their batteries are manufactured and they said China. If I'm going to buy a 18650 battery I was hoping to find one manufactured in Japan.

I have had really good luck with Sony and Samsung batteries. Been using the same ones for a few years with multiple charges. Still going strong.

May I ask where you buy them? I have bought Samsung batteries that I thought were made in Japan, but are made in China.

I was thinking of buying some from this website which states they are made in Japan: https://www.orbtronic.com/18650-battery?sort=avgcustomerreview&limit=100&mode=1
