I believe the access cabs have to drill through the roof and put in rivnuts.

Received my Victory 4x4 and went to piece it together on the floor. Found out that I was sent a wrong front bracket. There’s supposed to be a drivers side and a passengers side. I was sent two drivers side. I sent an email but of course it’s the beginning of the weekend and probably won’t get a reply until next week. SUPER bummed.

Overall quality turned out okay. I didn’t get the sharp stuff but there is what looks like some flashing on both side panels and small areas are missing coating completely on the cuts of both side panels. I don’t care about these so much since I’m looking to use and abuse it. But for $600 I expected a little bit better QC.

I want to do this as well. Also protects paint in the area from any long term rubbing (ahemo_O) . Ive never used any type of car wrap, do you have a link to the product you used? Is this basically just an oracle 651 type vinyl or something more car wrap specific?

Does the last bar on the Victory fit around the shark fin antenna? I know you can get a 1x1 for the Prinsu.

The Victory rack clears it in a Dual Cab. No need for a different bar.

You don't need to get a 1x1. You just turn the 2x1 on its side and it becomes a 1x2.

Has anyone installed a cab rack and completely removed the weather stripping? I don't think Victory does and I know Prinsu doesn't. When researching roof racks I saw a couple that simply removed the weather stripping all together. SEMA was one.

It's just a nuisance with the curve and the metal spine, I feel like I cut and measured about as good as I could and it still comes out sloppy in spots. I know I can cut it into sections but won't it possibly lift in spots down the road? I might just remove them or only replace the front clipped part. Curious if anyone else has done it??

I replaced my factory rack with the Victory4X4 rack. I didn't feel like buying replacement weather stripping just to hack it up, so I'm running it naked. I have had no leaking issues and you don't even really notice that it is not there.

That’s what I’m thinking. It would almost be cleaner than a hacked up job. And I’m not worried about leakage, should be easy to seal up with some silicone

The Victory and Cali look like they have just a little more space between the roof and rails than say the UpTop and Prinsu, anyone know if either could accommodate a top box like a Yakima or Thule with how the grabbers go under the bars?

I can’t speak for UpTop and Prinsu, but I have a Victory 4x4 and I have a Yakima SkyBox 21 Carbonite. You could easily put the box on top of the rack

Has anyone mounted J-type kayak racks to their Victory rack? I’ve got Thule Hullaport XT racks that mount to the OEM rack on my 4Runner and wanting to carry them on the roof of my pickup. The kayak rack needs a wing blade type bar. I have a Thule Xsporter over the bed carrying my rooftop tent.
