Would anyone know if my 2010 Tacoma (TRD OR) would be capable of handling (receiving) 5 TMP sensors? I have bought an alike alloy wheel to remount the spare tire on. I don't know if the existing steel wheel spare has a TMPS sensor,... but from visual inspection, it appears that it doesn't since it differs from the others. So, if I buy another TMPS sensor to put in my new spare, would the system monitor that tire too?

Your 2010 only has slots in the TPMS ECU for 4. I bought an Autel TPMS tool and reprogram which 4 I am using with each tire rotation and the 5th on the spare gets ignored until the next tire rotation.

Thank you; I was REALLY hoping that the ECU would have 5 slots,... but being rather new at this, I didn't know. Your solution will work. What brand/model sensor did you put in your spare? And ... which model of the Autel do you have?

I replaced all my sensors with new OEM equivalents, I think I got them from https://www.tpms.com/Toyota-Tacoma-OE-Pacific-TPMS-Sensor-p/p0103-toyota-tacoma.htm

    Tool: https://smile.amazon.com/Autel-MaxiTPMS-TS501-Connected-Diagnostics/dp/B00BHCFNTS

Programming the new sensors with the tool is super easy. The idiots at the tire place couldn’t do it. With the Autel unit, there is a function to go place it next to each valve stem, it will read the sensor, store/save the ID number, then you can upload all 4 IDs at once to the truck.

Being that the Taco 2010 just has a TMPS light indicator ... Should it matter what memory slot each sensor registration occupies? I wouldn't have to move every sensor registration code to different slots when I rotate tires.... right?
