Back to Tacoma after 15 years in a Ram Cummins 2500 6 spd. Manual.
Had a 2002 quad cab Tacoma before that.
Ordered a 2021 Army green, qcsb, 6spd manual. Put a couple hundred miles on it and tucked it away for salt season. Go out to the garage just to sit in it and breath that new truck smell!20201121_114323.jpg 20201121_122905.jpg

Newb Here! Nice truck...I just got basically the same thing. I decided to join because I have been purging the forums trying to figure out if anyone else is having this issue. Seein' how you have the same rig, maybe you can help me try to figure out if this is just a quirk with the engine, and it's "just-how-it-is" or maybe I take it to the dealer to get diagnostics. Brand new truck and hating like hell to think it is plagued with an issue...so any way's, here goes...ever so slight hesitation/stutter pulling from 2000-2400ish RPM in higher gears. On the highway in 6th just cruising with my foot resting on the gas it has enough power to keep speed without issue. If I then start to press on the gas and accelerate (up a slight hill or just to gain some speed), I feel it, it's slight but it's there. Almost like a fish tugging on bait. Others have used this analogy in older posts and I like it!!! I can get this out of 4th, 5th and 6th gear in that RPM range. Has decent power around 3000 and up, but I seldom push it that hard and it's brand new so I'm babying it. Any input would be awesome and congratulations on getting the army green Off Road!!

I really like that color. Not easy to find, where I live, and dealers don't really have incentive to deal because they sell every "Taco" they get. So I found a lightly used '20 Magnetic Gray TRD OR 4x4 and very pleased, so for. I have special ordered a couple Ford vehicles but have never had much luck getting a Toyota dealer interested in doing a SO. I have heard that it has something to do with being in the Southeast region, but who knows. I've had a Tacoma before but I traded out of a F250 and while the sheer size difference is significant, I've not had any pangs of regret, not yet anyway. Welcome to the club........and nice truck!

I was originally looking at a 2020 but Toyota
Wouldn't release the truck? Some kind of buy back. Different dealer I ordered from said same thing might happen with my truck.
Local dealer didn't have any manuals inbound
And made no offer to order, so went with dealer 2 hours away. Glad I ordered and waited for the Army Green!
