    Hi, Does anybody use auxiliary LED lights in Alberta? I'm considering buying/installing something like Caliraised 32" lower bumper LED bar,
    upload_2021-1-5_18-34-8.jpg

    but not quite sure if that meets Alberta regs:
    Division 5, Section 42 of the Province of Alberta Traffic Safety Act Vehicle Equipment Regulation
    it says specifically that:
    “auxiliary driving lamp” means a SAE Standard J581 type Y lamp;
    and Two auxiliary driving lamps may be mounted, one on each side of the vertical centre line.
    Does it mean that LED bar is not allowed??? Confused.....

    no single bar meets any form of SAE spec and is not legal to operate on the street anyplace that I know of (some people get a way with it but I assume 1 day they'll get a shocking ticket)

    Are you looking for driving lights (clear and distant) or fog lights (Rudolf where are you, Santa needs your help)?
    These threads should have the info you need to get started

    Thanks, I'll read it
    I'm looking at a single LED bar, mounted in the grille-like on the photo.

    Light bars are not legal for on road use. Unless they are the high end SAE Rigid jobbies.
    Plus when you come to BC make sure you cover those bad boys.
