Hello Tacoma World. I bought my 2009 Tacoma brand new. This was my first large purchase as an adult, and quite the accomplishment for myself to pay it off considering the crazy life I have experienced. I never modified the truck while it was still financed, for some odd reason I felt it wasn't my truck to modify until it was paid off and I had the title in my hand. So, its been paid off a while now, and I'm starting to look in to making it into the vehicle I need. I have a manual transmission and they've gone out of style, but I do love it. I moved from the rural mountains of Northern California, to the flat busy cities of Long Island where a stick shift is grueling. My little truck pulled a 12' trailer across the US in a snow storm in November of 2019 and handled it like a champ, and I have no complaints. Although, I sometimes consider converting my truck to an automatic transmission and that is one reason I am on this site. I want to find out if it can be done and how to go about doing it. Other than that, my dogs and I adventure everywhere and we need to modify the cab a bit and my camper shell. All in all, my truck has been great and I love it. Now, I'm ready to make her even better than before and talk to all of you who have already had experiences to share. I grew up working on cars with my dad and grand dad. I'm excited to dive back in to the automotive world and invest in my vehicle. She's my work truck and my adventure truck. I do my own maintenance and will tackle any repair/improvement within my scope so, if you're willing to help, I'm willing to absorb all the information I can get. Thanks for reading.

Thanks Everyone. And I can relate with the passion for a MT. The first manual transmission vehicle I ever drove was my grandpa's Chevy Luv. I was the first grandkid to get it stuck, high centered her on a log, he couldn't believe it. Later I even taught my friends how to drive it, lol. My grandpa couldn't have been prouder of his little LUV. There's something to be desired about cars with "shifty" ways, pun intended!! It does make me laugh when people are unable to drive my truck. The first inspection I had in NY the service guy couldn't operate a stick shift and I needed to drive the truck on and off the lift. Funniest moment I've ever had at a shop. Any who, thanks for the warm welcome.
