Morning Randall! How's George? Is he spotting for you yet?

 

He's alright, was a shit sleeper last night so I'm feeling it today. Much happier during daytime awake time. Actually giggling and interacting and whatnot, which is a lot of fun.

 

That's a lot of work for a free something. Sheesh!

 

Too cute. He's getting big!

 

Yeah he is! Almost 3 months old already, crazy how time flies. We haven't weighed him since his 2 month checkup on xmas eve, but he's probably close to 12.5 lbs now.

So I’ve been taking a multimeter to my truck every so often to make sure the solar is doing as it should, and sure enough, it’s working great. I caught it in “float charge” mode, so the battery is full and it’s just maintaining now. Color me impressed with this kit.

 

That's great Randall. When the time comes, and you have the availability, maybe I can ride down with all the parts, spend the day and we can do this. How much are you into it for? Or what would a complete system including a second batt run?

 

You'd be better off going to @ilubtimmyhos for help since he's much closer and smarter with electrical. The solar kit was $182 from Amazon, if you wanted to add a second battery, cost depends on which one you get. Really the sky is the limit with this if you wanted to add li-ion batteries, inverter, etc.

 

Wow, I am certainly not the sharpest tool in the shed but It might be vaguely sounding a little like you're blowing me off.
























Just kidding of course. I feel ya. $182 is a really good price for the kit. Naturally I want the best battery for the system. First I need to justify needing solar. I want to ultimately be self sustainable no matter where I am.
