got wheels on my 99 after the djm 3/4. still have a slight driveline vibration around 60-70 mph...im think to add another 2 or 4 degree shim on top of the 4 inch angled blocks...any input on doing that? also for those that 3/4’d their taco, did you c-notch the frame...i feel like i need to just to eliminate the “bump” i feel on those surprise dips etc...i have low pro bumpstops now that help somewhat. anyways heres a pic, 17x8 plus 35 offset 215/50/17 and rolled all 4 fenders...

You should not need a notch on 4". If you have low pro bumps i would look into better rear shocks. Did you use steel blocks or aluminum?

How much clearance do you have from axle to frame?

im wondering if i push the top of the u-bolts outwards away from each other....i think thats what is hitting the frame, perhaps they are closer together at the u section of the bolt that wraps around the axle. hmm ill need to look at that this weekend

Not sure if there is much give in those u-bolts. Try adding bump stops or even zip tie some flip flops under your frame rail or something to absorb the impact.

I made these using Energy low pro bumps and tracing the oem pattern at a buddies shop:
    20201116_121101 (1).jpg

I have a ton of clearance with my 3" drop, no bottoming out ever.
    20201116_135739.jpg

After trying bump stops, you can look into adding a c-notch to your frame also if the issue is bottoming out still.

yup i have that lo pro bumpstop in but it still taps metal...i have yet to check the u bolts if they are making contact with the frame. also have a c-notch plate ready to be welded in, i just need to find a good welder to do it

if yours does bottom out, that bumpstop plate might tap the top of that u-bolt (looks like)...i think thats whats happening with mine...i see some contact marks on the u-bolts

If you are hitting the u-bolt on your frame then either your bump stop is not quite large enough and/or it is not centered properly. I noticed the oem bump stops are slightly offset and not in the center of the mount, this may be part of the issue.

I'm saying goodbye to the ugly tire gap. We're going lower. Bed is coming off and it's c notch time.
