Favorite places to mtb in central Ohio? I enjoy The Wilds & Dillion State Park as my “home trails”. Lake Hope is solid in SEO and Vultures Knob near Wooster is a really fun ride.

Alum Creek 0-2 are my home trails, and I hit Chestnut Ridge when my game is "on" <--- I am an old, slow "fat guy"

I really want to go ride Baileys now that it is going...also want to hit Dillon SP. So the Wilds is still open/ I had heard rumors it was not kept up any more...

I’m not too old or fat but definitely slow! I just like to cruise around mostly. I haven’t been to Alum Creek in years but it was always a fun ride. Dillon has had a lot of work done to it in the past 2 years or so. It used to be super technical with a bunch of rocks but they removed the majority of them and straightened out the track some.

The Wilds has been kept better the past few years as well. But, it’s always best to time up your ride near the OMBC race they have there if you’re not familiar with the trails. They have a nice trailhead with maps but the actual trails aren’t marked super well and there are so many of them, it could be overwhelming. It’s personally my favorite because of the mix of of trails but it’s definitely not the most taken care of.

I also like to cruise around mostly, but am still into getting air when I can and like to push myself at times...I strive for small victories and gains, especially in climbing.

I am actually really wanting to get into bikepacking for the most part, but I grew up on BMX, and still have a lot of that (idiocy(?) ) left in my blood. Sort of sucks that they "cleaned up" Dillon, but flow is the new thing now. AC is in A LOT better shape than it was 10-15 years ago. Erosion and weather have forced some changes as it always does, but they have actually made it pretty legit without sanitizing it. P1 is brutal as far as tech and climbs...

it was not cold - at least to me - but the snow was too deep and slippery to navigate. There was even a guy on a true fat bike that turned back around...we got about 3/4 of a mile in....he didn't even get 100 feet in!

Am hoping that it is in better shape by this weekend, though it is supposed to start melting
