As it says, my garage door won’t stay up. We moved into this place a few months ago and this has finally annoyed me to the point where I need to fix it.

It’s a single door, swing up style. But it seems the springs aren’t holding the door at all? Or they were installed incorrectly?

The springs on it are somewhere around 130lb springs, but the door still won’t stay up.

Want to try and fix it over the next couple of days. The annoyance has surpassed my patience. springs do wear out with use.

How long have they been installed?

The bad part is they are hard to see with the door open.

Forgot to update. Ended up figuring it out. Bought the wrong springs to try and fix it after the old springs wore out. Stays up like a dream now!F9FBDE06-6D50-48BF-8346-48D944DDB508.jpgC6AA2FA6-9EE2-4C34-A42A-219FB6BBA4B9.jpg

Glad you got it figured out. I’ve never seen one in person, pretty slick.

Yeah there’s not a lot of info on this older style of swing up door on the internet. Hence why I bought the wrong springs initially. Luckily some forum deep in the internet from 2004 saved me.

Well, I've had almost the same issues, but not exactly. Because I've had problems with sliding doors and it's frames. Fortunately I could find helpful and informative resources like here ( https://24hr-door-repair.com/sliding-door-repair-marco-island/ ), where I could get not just information, but also an actual repair service of my doors.
