    Hi, has anyone removed and replaced the plastic e-brake handle with something else...?, any special procedures?...thanks

    For what usage? Considering there is likely no direct replacement item on the market this would be custom work. Usage would dictate the direction you would need to take.

    Sorry, I don't have 3rd Gen. But most likely the "plastic" is just a cover that is pressed/glued on the metal handle.

    It may not come off easily. You may need to dig down to the pivot point to remove the entire unit. Then figure out how the "plastic" is attached.
