The 35ft cumulative crack(s) in my windshield coupled with 50 chips from driving on I25 do a phenomenal job of breaking up light reflection and glare on my hoopty.

I never had an issue with that area, though I thought that was it here and there. Turns out for me it was off the aft side of the scoop hump. I used Plastidip, but I want to extend the area and wanted it even so I decided to order some matte black wrap to cover the scoop and all the way to the creases on the hood, and around the area you're pointing at. I'm only doing the wrap for the heck of it; the blinding issues have vanished with just this. And unlike some others have said, mine is nice and tidy with clean edges.

17 years and 260k miles on the original windshield in the 4runner. There is some nice, high traction glass there. You can feel the pain when you hand wash it.

I gave in on the 1st gen taco after 15 years and 210k miles. It was so sandblasted that it was dangerous.

lol, new windshields on I-25 are a waste of time. My van has three cracks that span the entire width and some really neat spider webbing is starting. It's like a really big kaleidoscope.

Looking for a shop in Arvada area to do an inspection of my 2009 Tacoma Base AC. Thinking of selling and would like a "Great" mechanic to go over it. It has approximately 198,000 miles and does burn some oil. (4cyl.) Just need to have a look over to make sure there isn't a leak somewhere that I am missing. It has a lot of after market parts and has been re geared. Not fast but will get you pretty much anywhere. (Not a rock crawler) Looking for an honest opinion on the condition of the truck. Any suggestions? Mainly do all the maintenance myself, but need to get it up on a lift. Not fond of crawling around in winter conditions at my age!:annoyed:
    Thank for any suggestions!

Back to real solutions, if you take your time with Plastic Dip (like someone already posted) it looks fine. I have done it on all of my Emblem's and they look like they came that way.

Edit- Might have to remove hood to make it easier to do right.
