Just completed a trip to Toquerville Falls and Alstrom Point. Also checked out Sand Hollow and Horseshoe Bend.

Edited the post to not promote illegal activities. LOL.

I just moved to the Cedar City area and let me tell you.... Having so many national and state parks nearby, you can venture every weekend for 10 years and still not hit every trail! it's the best kept secret of the West!! We love it here.

We grew up in Upstate NY and went to the Adirondacks a lot, and even after spending 10+years in NC and adventuring through the Smoky Mountains, nothing compares to Utah! Even better, you have public use lands out here and it's a great central location. Close to Arizona, Nevada, California, Colorado, Montana, Idaha....the list is endless!

Welcome to Utah but the biggest thing to worry about are fires, both natural and human caused.

When you camp, take everything you brought, with you. Leave nothing behind and be 100% SURE you're fire pit is completely out and there aren't any ambers. Last summer Utah had a record number of fires and acres burned caused by humans. The smoke covered cities for days.

Even during the winter months, it's best to assume anything you leave behind will still be there come summer. Do your part and enjoy Utah!!

Utah is one of my favorite places to get lost. Spent two weeks just heading wherever we wanted. We will most likely head there for another trip soon.

I lived in St George for about 2 years (live in Davis County now), and it really is the best kept secret. Its only downfall is the job market as there really isn't much other than trade related jobs. Also the cost of living there is skyrocketing because of all the California refugees.

downside is the DUST, sandstorms and DRY skin. all that dirt you collect on your every-so-often road trip to utah becomes something you deal with 365 days a year. love the area but also love coming home and not blowing sandy bloody boogers anymore.

man I just bought $1000 worth of drone and accessories hoping to get some badass shots of me in national parks videos, this is too bad, I'll have to boycott national parks and support local and state parks then
